    Question Video issues

    Here's the setup

    Intel Core i7 920
    ASUS P6T Deluxe V2
    6gigs PNY 1600 DDR3 RAM
XFX GTX 265 Geforce 896mg video
    500gig WD SATA2 HDD
Liquid cooling system installed for all devices (Thermaltake Armor LCS case)
    Win XP (32bit)
    DX9 (Latest available on microsoft.com)
I have the full (high graphic) install of the game

I have run the game at maxed out graphic settings, Game determined settings, bottom end settings and several things in between. I have run all anti-aliasing settings available, including off and run all but the highest resolution settings. I have the latest available drivers for all hardware.
Whatever the settings, after about 45 seconds to 2 minutes of play, the screen freezes, runs through with black and fuescha squiggles (top to bottom edge to edge, can see nothing else), then locks up the whole system and I have to reboot.

I have run benchmarks and have played a number of other graphic intensive games (Halo 3, FarCry 2, WoW, etc..) with similar features set on and never have graphic issues.

    Suggestions for fixing the issue?

    Anyone?

This is getting frustrating. Issue will not resolve. I have reinstalled drivers, DirectX and even tried 4 different driver versions for the video card.

it seems that i've found the problem.. forcing ATI Powerplay to 3D mode before starting the game will solve the problem..

I will check the nvidia schematics for the same type of setting and see if that fixes the issue. Thanks for the suggestion

Well, seemed like it was going to work, and I was able to play for 90 minutes or so, but then BAM! same issue. video bugged, system froze and had to hard reboot.

Because I just built a new system and since I had WinXP (32) on hand and didnt want to buy another OS right now since I just paid for the parts to build the PC, I chose to keep the OS I had until I decide whether I want to vest in vista, switch to ubutu or wait for windows 7.

With this being an I7 board have you checked for a bios update??
Very very sweet system by the way I'm drolling all over myself thanks alot lol.
Shame no 64 bit OS to take true advantage of that bad boy but check on Asus site to see if there may be a bios update as well as a chipset update. New chipsets are always this way its a shame really but the price you pay for going top of the line in the PC world.
Edit: Sorry I missed you had the latest drivers on all hardware does that also include Bios?
