Strangely High Latency

Hi, I thought the server was just congested, but I've now been informed that my latency problems are not shared by everybody.

On a cable modem connection, the numbers displayed in the latency popup are usually like so:
sending: 200ms
Recieving: 1600ms

The recieving latency can vary from as high as 3000 to as low as 900, but usually stays around 1600ms. Any barrel in the game takes about 5 seconds to react to my swing.

You guys designed the game well enough that it is still playable, but I would love to get these numbers down. Before I log on, I disable all other applications, including virus scans and registry protectors, so I'm not sure what could be causing it on my end. Also, I have played many other online games requiring good latency (such as Hellgate:London) without any problems. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Try the steps here and the connection related ones here. If it keeps up though definitely open a support request as troubleshooting connection issues can get more in-depth than can be done on the forums.
