    Question Paid Subscription

Having read some of the previous posts around the forums let me start off: I'm asking this question for my own sake. I'm not looking to make any sort of "statement" nor am I looking for anyone else to make their own personal statements or opinion on the f2p vs paid arguement. I'm looking for information only. I've looked around but haven't seen too many official posts that seem to answer this clearly enough for me.

That said, I'm playing this game for the first time and mostly because it went free. I'm thinking about purchasing a subscription, mainly because I won't have the time to grind for the other content I'd like to see/use. My question is, if after a month or two I feel it isn't worth it, what happens when i go back to my free account? Is stuff deleted, or just inaccessible until/if I decide to sub again?

I may still like to play the game after that in the f2p format but what happens to characters/items/etc that I only had access to while I played? I'm sure and fully expect that I won't have access to areas that would otherwise need to be paid for but what if I created a drow monk (just an example), would it get deleted and I'd have to start from scratch when money or interest brings me back?

Subscribing then cancelling, you'll be an "ex VIP."

Ex VIPs retain access to some of the stuff they unlocked and will have 4 character slots instead of the F2Ps 2.

You just won't get your monthly Turbine Points nor will you get free access to any future updates or additions that aren't included for F2P players. Might have to buy a few things to "re-access" them as F2P like Monk or Warforged though.

You'll get 2 extra slots for characters and mail/tell /auction house access rights but anything that needs to be bought will be locked (not deleted) till you buy it.

When you downgrade from VIP (Paid) to Premium (F2P) you will not lose any of your stuff. You will however be limited to 4 chars max, so if you had more than 4, you will have to pick which 4 you want to keep playing. The rest will be locked as unplayable, but you can unlock them in the future by going back to paid or by buying an extra char slot (600ish points).

As a F2P player you will not be able to play any monk or WF chars unless you pay for them.

You will be able to continue playing Drow or FvS if you unlocked them with favor or bought them while you were a VIP player.

You will lose access to any paid areas until/unless you buy them, but any loot from those areas that you have remains yours to use.

thank you, this is exactly what i was looking for. I was looking thru the free/new player forums and account related forums and wasn't finding any joy. was finding a lot of posts with similar info but it was from other players, didn't want to spend cash on could-be's. thanks again
