Never had ANY problem with the game and then, all of a sudden, nov 16th 2009 comes and someone decides to "fix" the game with a so-called "update" and BANG!! Since then, my pc's been rebooting every frickin hour or so. It SUCKS, espescially when you're paying for something and the quality just isn't there anymore. Oh well, I guess it's a way of fixing a game, when the misplaced pixel shows up, we'll crash their computers and they'll never see it.
Thanks alot!
Seriously, this is getting ridiculous, there are threads about crashes like this all over the forum, people are complaining about the same problems in game chat as well...
Thing is, our computers AREN'T broken, our computers DON'T need to be fixed, nothing changed, the vast majority of the people having the crashing problems haven't changed ANYTHING from the time everything was fine to the time everything was suddenly crashing.
So what are we doing here Support? Are we gonna try to fix 100's, maybe 1000's of individual computers that never had any problems before the last 2 updates or, what really needs to be done is to remove those "updates" from the servers and fix them BEFORE putting the update online again? Because the problem obviously is within the programmers code. 1000's of computers do NOT magically "break" all of a sudden.
Anyway, I think DDO should go ask Support for a ticket and solve the problem they caused in the first place. And until that is done, let us have our game back the way it was so we all can play the fine game we PAY for.
I am going to get my money refunded from the day the problem started to the day it'll be solved and you all should do the same, we don't need to pay for something we haven't broke and we certainly don't need our computers fixed.
Thank you.
If you have Realtek high defintion audio 2.70(WDM_R270) version, remove it from installed softwares and install WDM_R251. WDM_R270 version causes the game to restart the computer
