    Default Game Crashing

    So I downloaded the game and I can open up the loader properly. I then enter in my username and password then choose server. The game then seems to start up. There's a black screen that pops up that looks like the game will start up, but then it just crashes. I can't get into this game. I'm running the game on a vista. Any help?

    i have the exact same problem, i'm running vista as well

    Been having this exact problem on WinXP as well. Game loaded fine first time, managed to create a character, then had to restart PC for an unrelated reason - now the game CTDs whenever I try to get past the launcher. Looks like it's trying to load an intro movie, then it just crashes, no error message, nothing, just dumped back to desktop.

    Check your video card drivers and make sure you're up to date. There have been issues in the past where specific card and driver combos caused crashes when loading the game or playing movies in-game.

    Everything is up to date and I am still crashing. Using XP

    Same issue here....
    win xp sp3, current directx 9 drivers and current geforce 6200 drivers. Loader comes up, log in, screen goes black and then app crashes. Any resolution???

    Post your dxdiag's when you get a chance (how to steps are in the "how to get help.." sticky linked in my sig)

    Also if you have "Turbine Download Manager" (TDM) installed try running the "Validate & Repair" from the options menu.

    After contacting support, log into your email webpage to add noreply@turbine.com and accountsupport@turbine.com to their "safe senders" list and your contacts list/address book. Be sure to check Spam/Junk Mail folders as well since most email providers do not let external email programs or cell phones download mail flagged this way.
