Default FvS Child Of Feat Exchange bug

Im having a problem, wanted to know if anyone else has seen this?

Im attempting to swap out my Child of The Soverign Host feat, but when talking with Fred, he doesnt give me an option to swap it to anything else. It does not list my Favored By The Soverign Host feat in the list.

Am I stuck? Is this a bug?

To remove Favored, you have to remove Child.
To remove Child, you have to remove Favored.

once youre past the level where you get your 2nd faithfeat, you cant change your deity anymore

    for example:
you have X1 and X2. X2 needs X1 otherwise you cant take it
    now you go to fred
fred sees you have X2 and thus doesnt let you respec X1 as it would break X2
also you cant respec X2 for Y2 as that needs Y1 which you cant get

Vaguely remember a dev saying you weren't supposed to be able to change deity. Something about someone powerfull being irked, and lightning bolts of smiting.

This is working as expected, and as documented prior to the release of Favored Souls.

It can be called a "bug" in the sense that DDO should allow full respecs of most character advancement options, but doesn't.

In this particular case, you should be allowed to either
    (a) Replace a feat with a "blank feat" which has no prerequisites.
    (b) Replace a feat even though it's being used as a prerequisite, causing the dependent abilities to temporarily stop functioning.

From a game mechanics standpoint, sure.

However, you don't go from being a handpicked BFF of Lord Bob to being buddy-buddy with Master Joe; Lord Bob just may have something to say about that.

How is that any different from clerics changing deities and getting an atonement?
