Definaly seems to be a problem with Virgin ISP, so I suggest you find another connection to sign up from, the download seems to work fine on virgin though so no problems there.
I can further confirm this. I tried several methods to register my free account on a Virgin Media ISP, and all failed. I then went to my friends house who uses BT internet, and it worked perfectly. So its definatley an issue with Virgin, but once you create the account you are ok to manage it and play on Virgin internet.

Can't explain why, and I wouldnt advise actually contacting Virgin Media on this matter as I am sure they are unable to resolve it in any reasonable amount of time. If you have this problem, just use a friends computer with a different ISP or go to an internet cafe or something.

After 10 or more tries, I managed to get it under an US proxy. I don't know why, but I got the impression that the site was IP blocked for those outside of USA, or NA especially.

ADD: tried proxy-less again and got "Your submission contained an error. Please try again. Code: #FTxACLV3BUY". So this really is an IP block issue. Now (I am not sure if this is against the rules, if yes, please remove the information) the proxy I used to register was 64.125.136.28 on port 80. Set this into your browser, and it should work (will load the page a bit slowly, but surely).

Good luck everyone, and a good game!

It looks like some people's combination of IP address and other values are tripping up our anti-fraud/anti-gold farmer filters. Virgin Media in particular appears to be a problem ISP. We're looking into the issue and appreciate everyone's patience.

If you're being blocked by this issue and need assistance please follow the instructions above to get help from account support.

For players still getting this error, I'll add my data so they'll know to look for the solution.

Me and a friend had the same issue with our ISP: UPC/Astral in Romania. Managed to create my user just fine using my cell phone's internet connection from Orange.

Quick update. I was out and about earlier this morning and managed to sign up via a random wireless internet connection I picked up on my iPod touch. I hope that this issue gets sorted out so other people don't have to jump through the same hoops.

    Hi from Turkey,

Me and 5 of my friends got the same problem. Some of us got thier accounts by thier friends over at US and some us tried lots of different IP programs to pass this "IP block" kind of issue. I'm sure there are thousands of computer gamers in Turkey who are ready to sign up but can not and since you need the same account to register in the forums, can not tell about this issue.

So this is not an issue with "some" ISP's over at US. Whole Turkey is getting an IP block and who knows how many others are. FYI.

    Thanks.

Same situation from Ukraine. Can't create account to my wife.
"Your submission contained an error. Please try again."
My old free account (created 5-6 month early) worked fine.

By the way, same situation in LOTRO: https://trial.turbine.com/lotro.php
