question or two about pvp

im really fresh in this game so i would like to know on what level of evolution is pvp in this game?
is there some sort of olympiad ,tournaments or even some form of open world pvp or wars...?
also im wondering is there any other content except dungeon crawling?

Yea, there is PvP.

Open PvP in the Taverns, Private PvP Arena's available from NPCs in taverns, and the new Challenge System.

With the mature community here you will most likely have some difficulty finding opponents.

The PvP in DDO is very poor to say the least. There is nothing Arena like that will net you rewards. If you want PvP Warhammer or WoW are your best bets, with Warhammer taking top honors due to being able to progress entirely through PvP.

Nothing like getting uber gear by just killing your enemies on the field of battle. Ok, now I want to go play WAR again.

Sorry, back to DDO.

DDO = PvE, with "PvP lite TM" sprinkled in. No rewards or rankings atm. This may soon change, but I doubt it.

since im 28 y.o. with at least 15 years of gaming exp and around 10 yrs of mmo exp so i like to consider myself mature as person aswell as player despite fact i love pvp so i guess u meant "pacifistic community" or there is a link between pvp and maturity of which im not aware
either way im a fan of pen & paper AD&D for a long time so ill give this game a try anyway thou it would be a great plus if it had some sort of tournament system at least for "bragging rights" as a reward
