It may not be a big deal to some, but I really don't see why my gear, hit points, saves, recently acquired spells, etc should be anyone's business if I don't want them to be. Disconnecting the player name from the character name is only part of the story.

I have a level 17 dual wielder who likes to run the shroud as often as he can. Now, anyone putting a group together can pop over to myddo, see I haven't gotten around to crafting my second mineral II kopesh yet, and refuse my request because they want to take Harry down in one round.

I have a very gimped 28 point fighter that I still like to run. Now the fact that he's a gimped 28 point fighter will be obvious to anyone he tries to group with.

The fact is many, many people run non-optimal characters that are now open to all sorts of new difficulties. Please, let me opt my characters completely out of myddo. Call me paranoid, call me gimp, but I do not want them there.
