    Default Starting a Wizard Buddy

Me and a friend are starting two new toons (his first DDO char, my third but the others where lvl 4 at max, we are both f2p only atm without fancy store items :P), he picket the wizard and now i am stuck.

I don't know if a Battlecleric, a Paladin or some fancy multiclass combination would help us out, i already skimmed through the class forums and it didn't help me that much in this case. We aim to mostly run stuff as a duo (i wonder far we would get that way ...) so we need some sort of tank-healer or am i wrong?

Any help will be appreciated, so thank you in advance.

A tank healer is a good way to go: this could be a battle cleric.

However, if your friend doesn't mind being a healer, you can go Warforged race and pick any melee class as a good partner. So long as your friend takes repair/reconstruct spells, he can heal you as good as a cleric could heal a fleshy fighter type. If you go this route, consider going ranger, perhaps with a 1st level of rogue--that way you'll be able to melee well, range well, self-heal a bit, and handle rogue skills (traps, locks, etc.). WF ranger would be a good match.
INFERUS SUS Sorcs (Socky, Sockie, Socklin), Rogues (Sockpuppet, Sockum), Clerics (Sockington, Sockase), FVS (Sockle), Intim (Tubesocks), Bards (Sockdolenger, Sockish), Rangers (Sockin, Sockel), Wizzy (Sockut), Kensai (Sockt), Monk (Sockfist), Arty (Sockficer, Sockcraft)
