    Default Bowbarian Resurrected

EDIT: I finally found the original post for this build.

    Raging Archer http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=139053

I think going anything less than Ranger 6 at this point would be regretful.

Thoughts on where to go next on this guy would be greatly appreciated. Four more levels of ranger? Two levels of ranger and two levels of fighter? Or have him fling his gimped arse into some spikes somewhere around Meridia?

    Current stats w/ gear/tomes/feats:

    32 Point Elf Barb 14 / Ranger 2

    Str 30 - 22 base
    Dex 26 - 18 base
    Con 21 - 12 base
    Int 8
    Wis 8
    Cha 8

    Feats:
    Bow Strength
    Damage Reduction
    Favored Enemy (Evil Outsider)
    Greater Rage
    Improved Critical: Ranged Weapons
    Improved Precise Shot
    Improved Two Weapon Fighting
    Improved Uncanny Dodge
    Indomitable Will
    Manyshot

    Enhancements:

    Barb Extend Rage IV
    Barb Extra Rage III
    Barb Hardy Rage III
    Barb Power Rage IV
    Barb Crit Rage II
    Barb Willpower III
    Elven Ranged Attack I
    Elven Ranged Damage II
    Ranger Favored Damage I
    Barbarian Intimidate I
    Barbarian Constitution I
    Ranger Dexterity I
    Barbarian Toughness III

I was trying to find the build that I based this on but it's been over a year since I played and the search was in vain. Looking to subscribe again. Thanks.

In general, I'd say the DDO community is very down on Ranged at the moment. It typically can't even come close to the DPS of TWF, and comes with the added annoyance of kiting mobs around, thus making the other melees useless.

Thus the reason I took imp TWF. I don't kite in groups. Solo I hardly have to kite anyway if the manyshot is timed right with precise shot entire mobs go down insanely fast. And with the assortment of scimitars he carries it's easy to stand his ground.

The real question was whether Ranger6 was the way to go and I can't see going any other way. I've been playing this build the last couple of days that I've been back and it's still a blast My play style with this character is hardly looked down upon in groups.

What exactly do you get with ranger 6, you've already taken manyshot and itwf... if you go tempest sure thatll help your melee a bit, and if you go arcane archer, free 1d6 damage and returning +1 arrows.

4 more barb levels won't waste your free feats, get you access to FB III and a boost to your raging and immunity to all exhaustion (even spells and such...or so i've heard... bug possibly) increasing your con and survival, the whole point of a bowbarian is to get insanely high str to add to damage, i believe the extra str outweighs the force arrows and much more than ranger 6

Actually the thought of going four more levels of ranger was for deepwood sniper (or arcane as you mention). Also gives two fav enemies. You do make good points about going four more levels of barbarian.
