Laptop with "sis mirage 3"

Hi,

has anyone of you an idea what I could do to get ddo to run on my laptop? The problem is, I have a "sis mirage 3" graphic card in my laptop. And this card is ****, cause it cant display some directx-effects and shaders. With Guild Wars I had the same problem with graphic artifacts but I handled it by adding " -dx8 -noshaders" behind the starting exe (desktop icon). But this doesnt work with the ddo -exe.
Of course I play most of the time with my much faster PC at home but it would be nice if I could sometimes log into ddo with my laptop ( in free time ) to sell/buy stuff or to chat a little bit with friends or guild members.

So anyone an idea which could help me to turn down directx effects in ddo? That would be awesome.

Honestly I think your SOL but lets see your dxdiag to see what else you have if it can compensate for the vid problem

The point is, I dont think the card is damaged, its just not strong not good enough. GuildWars goes direct into game after clicking the stater.exe so the command "-dx8 -noshaders" works. DDO starts a launcher first and after that it goes really into the game. Thats I think is the reason why it wont work with the ddo.exe. I need something...a config-file or whatever to give this command in ddo.

Like I said this laptop isnt for playing, its just for visiting vendors, auctioneers or have a short chat. But the graphic artifacts are this strong that you cant really go on.

Well first off DDO is a little more intensive than Guildwars since it does only do direct x 8 graphics anyways but after some research I think your problem is that the SIS graphics card does not support Vertex shading which is your problem here.
you can try the newest drivers from SIS site
http://www.sis.com/download/agreemen...url=/download/
But always read if your installing the right driver since this is a laptop these can be trickier to update graphics drivers.

Isnt there a possibilty to turn the shaders off ?
