Can anybody help with the question: does Crippling Strike (Rogue class feat lvl 10) work with bows ?

It should work as long as it is a sneak attack. Note, however, that in order to sneak attack with a bow, you have to be insanely close (30 feet, or basically right in front of the monster..).

Thank you for answering me ... I'm reading all the forum to decide what feat to get and still cannot decide... Everybody says Crippling strike is great... But I prefer Improved Evasion(I have high reflexes by the way ) or Slippery Mind (agains mages...) And almost nobody (as I saw) takes Defensive roll... Isn't it need ? Maybe somebody could help me wit this ? Talking about Improved Evasion - people say that it would be nice in Monastery raid and that's all (if you have high reflexes)... but I'm not going to raids soon But nevertheless I think I'll need it more than Crippling strike... Do I right ?...

Defensive roll as many people see it isn't that great to them. As once you get to low hp, you starting making a check to roll a 1d100 vs your reflex if it is at or below you take less damage and any effects that could be blocked by shield blocking are blocked.

And for the majority of the rogues out there they tend to have low hp so that treshold of where defensive roll starts working wouldn't really save them all that often

30 feet in the game is not insanely close or right in front of the monster. It is fairly close though. The wiki has the range for sneak attacking listed at 45 feet. This may have been a change brought on by an update after these posts were made.
