I can't help you I can just acknowledge that I too am getting this error code, I am getting it from the dndclient however in game. It happens more often when I am near mephits. Running Windows Vista 64.

Same problem on my machine too. A Dell XPS 630I with a Quad Core Q6600 running at 2.4GHz with 4 GB of RAM. I'm running Vista with Srevice Pack 1 and all the latest updates.

This one comes up on occasion, its a file access error, the game launcher isn't able to patch/overwrite files.

On XP make sure that your XP User Account has been setup as a "Computer Administrator" account (Start > Control Panel > User Accounts) and also that it has "Full Control" access configured for the "DDO Unlimited" folder (open C:\Program Files\Turbine and right-click "DDO Unlimited" and choose Properties, then under the Security tab make sure that your user name is listed and that it has "Full Control" set to "Allow" in the permissions area)

Alot of times virus's and malware affect system permissions/registry settings so definitely run a full system scan with an updated anti-virus/anti-spyware scanner just to be safe.

If the corruption's fairly substantial though the best option is to make a brand new XP admin account. Follow the steps here but when they have you make it a "Limited" account choose the "Computer Administrator" option.

On Vista it's less common but usually it's either a virus/malware mucking up permissions or more commonly User Account Control on Vista, if you're getting this on Vista make sure that you're launching the game via "TurbineInvoker.exe" (not TurbineLauncher.exe since Launcher needs Invoker to get it Admin level). But sometimes you may need to temporarily turn off UAC per the steps here, reboot, allow DDO to patch and then reactivate UAC.

If it keeps up though definitely open a support request.
