Installed game off DVD > Waited for 9+ hours while the patcher downloaded ONE GAWD DAM file at a time then applied it before moving on to the next file. > Became frustrated when the file names became "high res" and still didn't let me play the standard res version > Exited

NOTE: Play while you wait! The Turbine Download Manager will allow you to play the game while it downloads the high resolution game client however, you will be unable to access the "very high" and "ultra high" graphical settings until the Turbine Download Manager has completed its full download
Hoping this would somehow enable me to play what I had downloaded so far (since all that remained to be applied was "high res" updates). > It installed some totally new updater that hijacked the launch links to the game so I couldn't go back to the original patcher > Then it started DLing a 4.8GB file at 200kb/sec and still didn't let me play despite having all the standard res files already applied
*** !?
I mostly left this game because it wasn't fun or balanced(fair) combat (ironically it was actually fun in beta). Now I can add "technically burdensome" to my hate list along with "ancient updating technology"
