Default Sneak skills in Devils Battlefield

I was wondering if the enemy spot would be jacked up a lot in the new content but I don't think its too drastic. I was able to get all explorers alerting not a single enemy with 46 hide/ms. I think much less is feasible. The one time I had to get lucky was the named troll wasn't there going to Iron Maw. That said, it was much tougher to spot THEM. (27 spot, didn't cast wild instincts) I was able to before getting toooo close though lol. I wasn't sure where to post about this, I know the rogue skills thread has changed hands and places once or twice and its not really an achievement, its just a general factual-based post to provide baseline information.

I did this also with a 43 hide 49 move silent.....I was also able to walk around in A New Invasion unnoticed until I entered a portal and received a thorough flogging from a mob of ele's/golems/tieflings, but until that point I was safe. However, it didn't work in Sins of Attrition(?)... the mobs continually popped on me which I suppose means that they are triggered to attack the party regardless of stealth skills. Got some cool screenshot's of the Tieflings bowing to my feet at an alter in the wilderness area...

    I'll second your post Tann.

I use Assassinate a LOT on my pure rogue, and for some reason those buggers in Sins are on top of their game.

Humm...wonder what thier spot/listen scores are?

Iron Maw was relatively easy to sneak through until I walked through a giant gelatinous cube. Lime Jello for the loss!

No need to sneak you can solo/zerg the whole zone especially if you have radiance and good AC. I'm not sure if explorers scale with party size? Anyway.

I don't have radiance, but I do just fine soloing the explorer area. Was posting more about the DCs and the impact of sneak skills in the zone and quests and how big the step up was, as for say, Monastery it seemed to be a big step up from other higher level quests.

Oh and re: Sins, you can solo it without a second thought and then in certain rooms several elementals and others mobs will spawn and I find that to be the worst part about soloing it. I don't bother to sneak so long as I keep it to ~3-4 mobs at once and it's easy-greasy. Then walk into one of those rooms...I hate air ellies.

Ya I agree, when I first stumbled upon this thread and its main topic, my first impulse was to explain how GS/DT/AC/HP trump all the skills we waste points in.....but then I decided to play along with the OP and discuss those wasted skill points...

Actually I for one am happy to be able to test out a skill that I rarely ever get to use......

LOL well true, but I always like to try to find a new way to do things. Hey, we aren't going to get new content until what, 2010 or 2011 so may as well experiment fully with what we have!

Sneaking and Invisibility work great in the new content IMO.

I've even bashed portals with a devil right next to me.

Invisibility is awesome now. Especially if you have the move silently to go with it.

I'm just saying; Since I'm buffing to a 50ish hide and MS, I'm wondering why it seems mobs gain a mega spot score in this one quest?

Because that's the quest that they installed the new laser security system.
You need an aerosal spray can to visibly outline the lasers and a 58 Tumble score to maneuver through them without breaking the beams .

Sweet! I got the tumble down. I wonder if I can McGuyver an aerosal can with a few scrolls or some such.

Can I use the Pick of Destiny trick to deactivate the "lasers"?

(btw, I found the Pick of Destiny in DDO....kudo's to devs with a sense of humor.)
