Just reinstalled the client today on my fresh Windows 7 machine. Launcher works fine, before launching the game the first time it asked if I wanted to enable Direct X 10, I said yes. The screen goes black, the Turbine logo comes up and half way through the animation it crashes back to the desktop.
Checking for any sort of log files, I came across the following error message in a file called "dndclient.txt" in the main game directory:
Thinking it could be a permissions issue, I set all .exe files in the main game directory to run as Administrator. No help. I'd double check the "userpreferences.ini" file (it's in your Documents > Dungeons and Dragons Online folder) and open it up and try the settings below:
Change "AllowFakeFullScreen=True" to False
Change "SyncToRefresh=False" to True
Make sure the number following "Resolution=" matches your default desktop resolution. (1680x1050 according to your dxdiag info)
Set "Antialiasing=" to Disabled if set to 2x/4x etc. (i.e. Antialiasing=Disabled)
If it still crashes one thing to check is if the drivers for the vid card are the most updated ones for Win 7 64bit, you may want to check with NVidia for those, they've been pretty good at keeping up with Win7 updates.
