    Default Store is blank

It doesn't matter which server I'm on (Thelanis, Cannith) or what character I use (various classes and levels), the store always looks like this.

There's also a little animated icon that appears briefly on opening, then disappears.

I've looked for and tried some suggested solutions, such as reinstalling .Net Framework 2.0. I don't use a proxy, and the other in-game windows (such as Ctrl+H for the help window) work just fine.

Any ideas? Any hints on what software the store uses (Flash? Shockwave?) so I can try different versions?

    Question Same problem.

I've got the same issue, no matter what firewalls/anti-spyware/anti-adware/anti-virus I disable on both my system and my router. If anyone has a fix for this, please, I'd love to know seeing as I've purchased Points for the DDO Store (So I can play my lvl 9 Warforged Monk once again) and I can't even use them.

Try going into C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons & Dragons Online - Stormreach (DDO Unlimited if its a new install) and look for the "Browser" folder in there and do the steps below:
    1. Right-click the Browser folder and choose "Cut"
    2. Switch to the desktop and choose "Paste"
    3. Relaunch DDO to have it download a new copy of Browser and its files
    4. Login to character select and bring up the store (use the "buy a character slot" link)
If it still doesn't work definitely open a support request.

    Exclamation No such luck.

Didn't work for me, so I've opened a ticket. Thanks for trying, Mirthgar.

Default It did work form me

This procedure not only fixed the store for me, it also fixed the in-game Help menu.

    Thanks

    Default Didn't work here, also

Did not work here, either. I, however, get the blank black screen, rather than the nifty background scheme.

    Default Same here

I am having the same problem (and mine is a black screen, not with the background scheme) . I sent in a support request and the suggestions still did not correct the problem. There doesn't seem to be a problem with any other windows in game, and it worked fine on Lammania. Any other suggestions? Does it have anything to do with Vista or the Lammania install?

(saving on carpal tunnel by quoting my other post about this )
If you connect using an internet proxy (setup in Internet Explorer) you can check this by clicking on Tools > Internet Options > Connections (tab) > LAN Settings (button), look to see if "Use a Proxy" is enabled and if it is first check with your ISP to confirm that the settings are a.) correct and b.) necessary for you to connect (some malware/virus' set themselves up as a proxy on the system).

If the proxy setting is correct and needed, renaming the Userpreferences.ini file (eg. olduserpreferences.ini) in your "My Documents" (XP) or "Documents" (Vista) > "Dungeons & Dragons Online" should have the game redetect it and set it up but if not you might need to edit the prefs file manually.

If you do use a proxy server make a note of what it is in I.E. (name and port) and then open the Userpreferences.ini file and add it to the following lines if after renaming it and relaunching the game doesn't do it automatically to the new one it creates on exit:

    [WebBrowser]
HttpsProxyPort="Port number goes here without quotes"
    HttpProxyPort="Same as above"
HttpProxyHost="Proxy name goes here again no quotes"
    InitialConfigDone=True
HttpsProxyHost="Proxy name goes here no quotes"

Other causes are the store uses the "Flash" plugin from Adobe if that's not updated/installed that may cause this. Also you may need to add *.ddo.com *.turbine.com and *.playspan.com to your "Trusted Sites" list in Internet Explorer.

The store loads using I.E.'s connection settings etc for maximum compatibility I.E. shouldn't need to be the default browser but it does just need to be installed and able to reach the web (though if I.E. cannot reach the net at all you'd see other issues before you logged in).

Can anyone still having this issue also let me know if you're using I.E. 8 on your system at all?

    Default Ie 7

I was using IE 7, so I'm updating to IE 8, just to see if that makes a difference.

    Default

    IE 8
    Firefox 3.5.3, default browser.

Both confirmed to have Flash 10,0,32,18. I have tried clean installs.

All drivers up to date as of today. Vista 64.

Adding the above listed sites to IE trusted sites did not help. No proxy. Deleting/moving and redownloading the Browser folder did not work.

I've tried doing that, but for some reason i don't have any folder that is remotely like that in any of my drives folders or files. i have no clue what to do, i haven't been able to access my DDO store sense update 2, have sent 3 support tickets (2 in update 2 and 1 at the start of update 3) and have reinstalled my game twice, nothing works.

i also tried doing what you said to do in your second post, Mirthgar, but that didn't work either, mainly because i don't use a proxy server, so i didn't know what to do from there.
