Default Move Guildstatus from tag to inspect

Let me begin by saying I really enjoy the addition of guild member/officer/leader status to the game. It has long been present in other MMOs and it was due for addition here. The inclusion of that information is something that will improve gameplay.

However, putting in the guild tag is a bit sloppy. Firstly, it makes all the floating names much larger and obscures more of the picture. Secondly, by having it appear before the guild name its extra words I have to read, which makes it harder for your eyes to pick out information with a glance, now theres more to sift through. Thirdly, its not something most people will care about straight off and so doesnt need to be presented up front. All in all, it clutters up the game screen, makes it harder to read guild tags, and presents information immediately that is typically not needed immediately.

For these reasons, I suggest changing that information to the Inspect window. Where it has name, class, guild, just put a line for "guild status" or "guild standing" and add it there. Or even include it on the guild line, same way it is in the tag now but just in the inspect window instead.

This will clear up the playing screen, and again let guild tags be picked out with a simple glance and no extra words to skim passed. Also, it makes the information readily available at the touch of a button for anyone who needs it; most commonly people inquiring about a guild or an issue with a guild can quickly determine a senior member to speak with. Its not something that needs to be spammed in the face of all players all the time.

Again, its an addition I greatly appreciate, but feel a slightly different implementation will make the game look more polished and professional and increase ease of play for everyone. Cheers.

Even though this is a very minor issue, I definitely agree with you, it would be much much better in the inspect window.

My guildtag was intended to be a visual display.
<o> is the all seeing eye
    <officer, o>.......just doesn't have the same effect.

As implemented, it's just extra screen clutter giving me information I almost never care about anyway. I think that putting it into the inspect window information instead would be a great idea.
Tip #71: '3d6' means three six-sided dice are being rolled. For example, when you see that a weapon does '2d4' damage, it means that two 4-sided dice are rolled for damage, for a damage range of 2-8. <--Too difficult to understand? Really?

Im glad this got such a great response. I have seen this solution work very well in other MMOs and believe it can do so here as well. Thanks for all the signatures, Im going to let my guild know and see if a few more show up. For those who mentioned their guilds also like the idea, pass it along there too! More support will only help the change along, and show it would be a good one to make. Thanks again to everyone, heres hoping!

i thought it was a dumb idea, more wasted time on fluffy rot, then actual important
    improvements.

if i wanted officer or guild leader over my head, i woulda put a tattoo somewhere/

what purpose does it serve anyhow?

    Default Good Idea

Maybe allow the guild to set the tag status.

Not needed in the Guild Name floaty, but needed somewhere. That way if I am running with a mostly guild group and decide I really like they way they interact and play then I could see if one was an officer and ask for an invite and/or discuss their guild.

Now I wouldn't really be using it that way since I happen to like the guild I lucked into. (even if Foxx can be a bit harsh on the forums) I do have a character that is an Officer(which might change after the Foxx comment) in the guild so someone might want to ask me about joining. Having to see (Member, Officer, Leader) isn't needed. Then again if it puts the "unique" level tag in there it could be interesting to see.

We could have a "Catherder, Knights of the Illuminati" and "WhippingBoy, Knights of the Illuminati".
