    Default Haste is slower?

At first I thought it was just me, but then other people mentioned it as well. Haste seems slower. I'm not sure if it's just the animation speed or if it is the actual speed, but it definitely seems slower than before. Anyone else notice this? I checked the release notes, but the word "Haste" does not appear in the document that I can find. Stealth nerf?

(Removed. Thought he was referring to attack rate under Haste.)

You mean run speed or attack speed?

It seemed to me that just running around with the Phiarlan time pendant was slower.

I and a Guildmate both said that we seemed to be running slower (with Haste) in the Vale. We even kept checking the haste timer to make sure that we were, in fact, hasted. Both sorcerors if that helps any.

I can't say what, but I'm pretty sure they messed with haste. Running on my TWF Rogue, I could have sworn that it was a little delayed in casting. In addition, I casted it twice on myself a few times, because I felt like I wasn't fully hasted. (also, in the past mods I feel they have slowed down the haste and attack speed a little bit each time)... however this might just be all my perception, doesn't mean its actually confirmed.

Haste seems to have been reduced to 30% movement. I see no difference anymore with 30% Stiders or Haste Pot.

No Big deal. Attack speed seems the same.

My guess is that they did this so that high level chars will stop begging for haste when there is no battling. If haste gives the same speed as the best equipment, then no need to cast it for just getting from here to there.

Now to find a set of 30% striders for my sorc...

    I dislike this change immensely.

I hope it was unintentional and will be fixed. Unfortunately, I see a lot of rather large (apparent) bugs that haven't seen a peep from the devs yet, so they may say in a year "oh we never heard of that"

Now that you mention it, so do I. What possible point could there be to running slower? Hard to see how making quests take longer but be exactly as challenging and rewarding makes a game better!

Could this be yet more zerg prevention?? Devs seem really concerned about that, both in terms of gameplay and side effects on the servers.

    According the compendium....

Haste doesn't give any run speed boost. Or perhaps it's a hidden effect..

I was talking about running speed. I dislike the change, but I particularly dislike not being told about the change. Stealth nerfs are never a good idea.

I've noticed it too and brought it up with my regular grouping buddies. The casting lag is apparent and appalling, as well as with mass protection from elements. Hoping that gets fixed as they sort out kinks to whatever new server hardware they got going.

Actual decrease to attack and running speed while under haste seems pretty obvious as well, as others have mentioned when comparing it to 30% striders. Although I have noticed the same during peak hours before the mod, so I'm hoping its just temporary until the server population normalizes and/or they get their systems optimized.

Regardless of weather it was mentioned in the compendium or not; Haste has always given a 40% boost to run speed.

I'm getting a little tired of these freaking stealth nerfs. If it's another pile-on that somehow is supposed to stop zerging, then tell us that your doing it. If run speed is and issue, then remove monk speed boosts, barb speed boosts, and all sprint boost enhancements from the game. Otherwise your " fix " is ********.

If it's an unintended bug, then by all means disregard my post.

Yet the old description had and in the game it still has the speed boost in the tooltip at 40%. But it really does seem lower, I am wearing 30% striders and it seems not to speed me up anymore.

Another useless nerf by the Devs, let me ask you guys, are you trying to get people even more fed up with you?

Cause you know there was 10 months of no content and then when we get content it comes with a ton of nerfs that no one knew was even coming is just making you DDO Dev team/Producers lose credibility. Maybe the new players won't notice, cause how would they know the difference but your VIPS, you know the people who keep you getting paid by actually paying for this piece of ..... we feel the difference and you are screwing with our game play.

My guess is maybe they got feedback from players, or from people on the forums, who complained about being a "hastebot" as a caster. Now that the run speed is as good as gear you can obtain, the demand for haste just so you can run faster is not as constant.

I'm just guessing, here, though. It's no big deal to me. It's just 10%.
