Unhappy Serious graphics problem, need to disable high res

Hiya, came back to DDO with a new laptop and stuff, im running the game with dual athlon 1.9 , 2 gbs of ram and an nivida 8200 256 mbs, i played for over a year with grat quality with my past pc wich had an inferior graphics card and mostly the same overall equipment ram and stuff, but now the games is almost unplayable.

The optimal settings inside DDO is just a joke, it sets everything to high or very high and with direct x 10. Even if i play with EVERYTHING turn to low or very low im having problems with the game, almost unplayable on open places or a lot of characters at once. I have the latest drivers, i rolled back to see if that was it , but no, the game still runs really really bad.

I dont know if its the high res textures or what, but i cant find a way to disable them from inside the game, even though i´ve turned everything down, no post processing effects, no anisotropic bla blabla

    Any ideas?

    compaq presario cq 60
    win vista
    athlon x2 dual core ql-60 1.9 mhz
    nvidia 8200M G 256 mbs
    2 gbs of RAM

    thx in advance

The "Texture Detail" drop-down in the ADV graphics menu should allow the textures to be lowered.

Also post your dxdiag when you get a chance (steps how in the 'how to get help' sticky linked in my sig)
