Default Returning player - only option is subscription, not FTP

I'm a returning player who hasn't been active in over a year. I am coming back to take advantage of the new FtP option. When I log in to "my account", for DDO I am listed as "Premium" and there is a "Get Unlimited Access" button in the DDO subscription area. However, when I follow that link, the only option for resubscribing is to pay a sub fee, monthly/quarterly/etc, or a timecard. There is no "free" option on the page.

How do i reactivate my account as a FtP account?

You should be able to just log into the game if it's showing "premium" on myaccount. You don't need to "set up" anything, it just recognizes you as premium when you try to load the game in. This only works for former VIPs and beta players for head start - everyone else who is a free player comes in on the 9th.

Tolero, I believe I'm having the same problem Andraax is having. I was in DDO from the original Beta until a little over a year ago, then I participated in the Unlimited Beta, but now when I go to log in it only allows me to log in with the account I started for the Unlimited Beta, and says my original account is "Banned", then when I go check the "my account" site it tells me the original account is banned until Jan 3rd, 2037. As it is, I can't even get into my original forums account.

I would love to take advantage of the FtP DDO, but I want back into my original account so I can play my original characters!

    Help us out here, please!?!

    Hi,

Like others, I had an account before. Now I want to try the free area for a while. Am I able to use my old account info(name etc)? Right now if I sign in to my old account my only option is to pay. Do I simply have to wait until next week or must I create another account?

    thanks

Okay, I've now logged in without touching a thing, as Tolero said. I was expecting to have to select an option but it just defaults to "Premium" and does not actually require I re-activate a credit card payment method. So, it's working for me. Thanks for the explanation.

    Question Stormreach vs. Unlimited

I am also a returning member of DDO - Stormreach.
On my billing page it says
"Your subscription has been suspended due to non-payment. Please re-enter your billing information or apply a Game Card now to reactivate your subscription(s)."
Will this change once the FtP goes live? Will I get the option for free play with this account or will I have to start a new account? Is my situation different from the users who have access to their accounts?

If you previously had an account, you won't need to change anything on the Account Management page. Any notes on that page about credit card updates or needing to resume the subscription only apply if you want VIP access. For free play, please feel free to just log into the game.

If you have any questions about your account specifically, please feel free to contact the Account Management department.

I have tried this and found a new problem. I have two systems, one much faster then the other. My desktop vs. my Laptop.
I have done what you suggested and simply logged into the account for free play. This worked on my desktop. However if I attempt to log in from my laptop I get "Account marked as Inactive" error and it refuses to log in.

I find this odd because I can log into my account with out any problem from my desktop. Why would this happen?
Why would my account authenticate and allow me access on one machine and deny me access on another?
