Default New Casual/New/Returning Player Friendly Guild - Thelanis - Knights of Blackmoore

    Some information about the guild....
Knights of Blackmoore is a new player friendly guild. That being said, we also love our veteran players, and returning players. However, we do have a few policies we try to stick by. Take it slow. Whether you're a new player, an old player, or a returning player, don't blast through a quest just for completion. There may be other people in the party that haven't run the quest a thousand times, and don't know it as well as you do. It's fun for everyone to explore the quest, learn where things are, or why certain things are done certain ways. We also aim for all the optionals in a quest (At least, those we're capable of...). We do no not tolerate zerging. New players, and people who want to explore simply don't have any fun with that kind of playstyle. Blackmoore style, all optionals, kill anything that moves, and if it doesn't move, poke it until it does... then kill it.

We have a functional website, though right now it's not getting much use, its kind of under construction. Vent is something that is being discussed, and will one day be implemented.

If interested in a guild that likes to run together, takes things a little slower, explores quests, doesn't zerg, and generally tries to help one another learn the game, check the who Tab on Thelanis and see if anyone's on, they can direct you to an officer. We'd love to run with you!

I might join, if I decide to *stay* on Thelanis.

Any plans for a like-minded guild on Cannith?

Sorry it's been so long in updating this.

No plans to form a Cannith shard, right now Knights of Blackmoore is strictly on Thelanis. Membership is growing rapidly, and we're all having a blast. We've currently got members in level ranges from 1 to 12 (with one lone 17 up there waiting patiently for the rest us to catch up). It's been alot of fun, and we hope to see you in game soon!

Anyone interested in joining can contact myself (Jeynks) or one of the other officers, Keetreh, Kavana, or Kamzan in game.

Just remember, its a new player friendly guild, we intend to take things slow. No rushing, no zerging, and we're not racing to end game.

I was thinking about joining a guild, and yours seemed the best. In fact I am also a member of a MMORPG website and they even mentioned you guys as well!

My biggest worry is I have young kids(and wife agro ) and so I only party up on occasion (have to AFK to help out a lot). I am usually solo, though I do like good social conversation even while gaming solo. Would this be an issue?

Currently a level 3 elf ranger named Oakshand on your server.

    /thanks

Hey Oak! Nope, Soloing isn't an issue at all, we've got a few folks who spend more time soloing than partying, and while we encourage people to group up with guildies any chance they get, there's no requirement. We enjoy folks just hanging around being social, talking, joking, giving advice, and asking questions. And hey! When you do have the time/availability to group, you'd have a bunch of people ready for just that. Look me up next time you're on, and if you don't see me, ask anyone from the guild for an officer, and they'll point you at someone who can throw you an invite.

    Default Requesting more detail

Hi, I have read your post and am interested in your guild. Myself and three friends are looking to join a guild together. Two of us are returning players from '06 with new avatars and two are new to the game.
What I would like to know is what time zone your membership is based in and how large is your guild.
I ask because we all have somewhat irregular play time due to family obligation, work schedules, etc. As such we would like to find a guild that has a lot of members in different time zones or who play too much.

    Cheers

Heya! I'm not the leader, or an officer for that matter, but I know the guild makeup reasonably well: we are certainly from every time zone in the US and there are some folks from other countries (UK, Aus, etc.), iirc. Jeynks will know a little more about the non-US membership numbers.

You can see how large the guild is here: http://my.ddo.com/guild-thelanis-knights_of_blackmoore/. At this moment membership is at just under 150 toons (maybe 75-100 players)...and growing. That, and the guild is only just over 1 month old.

When I'm online in the evenings there are typically between 10 and 30 folks playing. There are also often several folks (5-10) on in the mornings. Weekends are truly hopping almost all day.

The guild webpage/forum is here: http://tiny.cc/airlG. I believe you are welcome to post in the general forum to get to know folks a bit better prior to joining. I'll bet most of us are not frequenting this DDO thread much.

Keep an eye out for my toons when you guys are on and hit me up for a Blackmoore run. I'll happily show you our play style. All of my toons have names starting with 'Ee', like Eelario, Eeaxi, etc. I am on almost every night after 8pm MT for a few hours.

    Hope y'all will join us.

    Cheers, Eelario

Default I would love to join: paly lvl2 mikaroo

I would love to check it out just started 2 days ago and the game looks fun I am a wow veteran and just just a little tired of it looking for a change. I like how the leveling system in here doesn't penalize you for questing with others and you not just killing boars all the time. Anyways this game looks like it will kick a** and I would like to spend my gaming experience with others not just soloing all the time trying to catch up to everyone else it. I hope you have some newer toons in your guild so we could quest together every once in a while

I would love to join your guild, if it is still going and still has 2-4 lvl players(lvl 3 Cleric). Plan on joining here in a few hours, possible tomorrow morning.

I'm interested in joining. I have a level 4 Bard and a level 3 Fighter and Rogue. However, I do have mention that I also have a kid so I won't be able to be on a whole lot. Kid + fulltime classes = not much free time.
