I don't see the complaint as valid. You are saying that people who sell mana pots obviously have enough money to keep themselves healed, regardless of the class they are playing? I posit that they sell them because they in fact do not have enough money?

I hoard all my mana pots and have not drank one for a reason other then I feel like it and have too many in a very long time. I think I find 20-30 pots for each pot I drink, because I drink them that rarely. I am do not sell them because I don't need the money. So by your logic I deserve to be healed even less because I have lots of plat.

Lets see if I am getting this right.

If you sell mana pots then you have lots of plat.
If you have lots of plat then you can afford to heal yourself
You do not want to heal people who sell mana pots because they have a lot of plat.
Sounds like you don't want to heal people with lots of plat.

Why don't you want to heal me? Or is it okay that I could theoretically heal myself with my money but don't sell mana pots?

this thread is priceless. Atenhotep, you are my new favorite hypocrite.

for the record, all of my casters and clerics collect mana pots faster than they use them. when people pass them to me, or plat for that matter, i accept it and thank them, but not because i want the gifts. i accept it because the people who do it are good people, and deserve the satisfaction they are giving themselves. (i mean that genuinely btw.)

    Thanks.
Oh wonderful, another greedy person telling others what to do with their loot. Personally I don't buy sp pots on the AH because there isn't that much need for them. Half the time when I use them its because I'm lazy ("I don't feel like running in and out of pool 1000 times) or I've done myself (gone offensive casting crazy for fun in a quest that I know I should conserve SP). There are exceptions of course, but I do tend to find in those exceptional quests people are more than generous.

I think they only time I've needed a pot in a guild run in the last 6 months was when we picked up a particularlily bad cleric played by a 10 yr old as our 2nd cleric and then I think I used 3. And yeah, I think half the group felt bad for me and tried to offer me pots lol

I'm sure the new content will burn some pots though

you might just be passed some donational pots or plat, who knows. Some people are very nice to their clerics!
It might be a good idea to ask for donations, but some people are already donating without me asking them.
And on devourer i was used to just having the ressources to be the healer.
Having to ask for those ressources is a little embarassing for me.

so I guess you will be letting all in party know what you sell on AH as well? cause if you sell weapons or somthing then the dps'rs know not to kill anything for you cause you should be able to take care of that ?

Default I see the OPs point of view(PoV)

Obviously, he was in a party/RAID where someone said they keep their mana pots to sell on the auction. And the mana pots do bring nice gold. Which is sort of dumb to say in a PUG, but it is a PUG.

The OP probably thought they deserved the mana pots.

Now, any loot I pull is mine. If it is a mana pot, I am sending it to my casters.

If I am doing the Shroud or VoD and there is one cleric, then the mana pot goes to the cleric. As long as the cleric has not been to whiney.

the only raid i ever use resources is vod. and in vod, more often than not, players will reimburse your expenses. if the OP is using so much resources as a cleric, he needs to rethink his clericing approach

Usually thats the case... except when we decide to use some experimental tactic... like that vod run where I used 13-14 majors and 5 gtrs... lol.
