Rain of tasty ham

The other night while running thru the harbor ( vicinity of the mailbox) saw a djini(?) with ham falling to the ground around it. had heard this mentioned once or twice but had never come across it. All sorts of people around but no one seemed to notice. So I picked them up, all 41 of them.

I now have around 6 left, as I have given a bunch away to 4th and lower lvl charcs ( no return trade was asked for). Hope those that got them enjoy and have fun in the game.

The djinni was a bonus item everyone got for DDo's bday 2 years ago..he would give you hams if you didnt answer correctly or if you did he would give you a wish for +1 to an ability score.

The djinni actually drops 50 hams, so you missed a couple somewhere

Some people drop them just to be helpful to others.

For instance I will be dropping off a djinni load of ham at the new market tent around 8-8:30 pm (EST) on Sarlona on Thursday night

I think the birthday cake was one of the best DDO 'gifts' I have received to date, was looking forward to it this past year, unfortunately it didn't happen :shrugs: I guess I should be used to it by now - But anyways, Look for Anarkius near the Marketplace Tent if you travel on Sarlona, there will be hams a plenty.

Actually I don't think you will, as the birthday cake changes in the new mod. Its just a the rez now. The +1 tome options and I think the ham option are gone with the mod 9 patch.

DOH!

Well we will have to see what is available, the toon is just for storage and I would feel silly upping a stat on a storage toon, heck that's why I still have the darned thing. :shrugs: ah well, I'll have to find some other way to assist the general populous of Stormreach...

yeah but then I don't get to watch them run around like its plat falling from the sky...

Have you ever watched some of these people scurrying around trying to grab up the ham? Funny thing is they drop in stacks in a nice circle around the djinni, but people run around like crazy, then get upset cause they only got 2 or 3

Nothing like a little organized chaos!

Funny, on Llama my characters had both the Rez Cake and the Birthday Cake in their inventory.... Birthday cake worked just fine, too.

I think the Rez Cakes are an addition - not a substitution.

Hm now you have me wanting to go look. I know when lama land first opened all my birthday cakes had turned into rez cakes. Getting both would be nice. But then I haven't rechecked in 999 lama patches.

meh - it has sat in my inventory this long, 1 more day is not going to ruin it's stale chocolatey goodness. If it works, great if not, oh well I tried

Ahh yes when clicking through and wanting +1 Wisdom, the tricky djinn would try to fool you. It worked.

...and I remember seeing the outrage on the forums about people not getting their +1 wis but 50 hams. To which others would reply "Did you read what the djinn said?"

Based on the notes, sounds like the cakes are still there and kicking:

■The Djinni of the Cake got his eyes checked and if you still have a stale anniversary cake, he now recognizes who his master is.
