Another Founder returns

Just thought I'd drop a thread and say hi. I'm a founder who has come back for the new content. I got my start on Aundair and quit about a year ago. I was always a casual player who shy'd away from the high level content simply cause raid prep took too much planning. I was always a casual player and never all that active on the forums so for most this is an introduction more than a chance to catch up.

Those that do remember me will I'm sure remember my constant tinkering and rerolling of toons. That and remember my cynical griping and lack of interest in end-game content I liked rerolling toons cause low lvl content is easier to solo and run with less than full parties. Once the game became too much work I'd start loosing interest.

Here's a list of the toons I've run, if you recognize a name please drop me a line and look for me in game.

The only toons on that list that is staying is Greyleaf and Triage. I've grown attached to Grey as it's a pre-drow elf build using a +2 Cha tome found farming Threnal West fire giant king chapter.

Now that I'm back in the game I want to get more involved with the community. Be more active than a casual player (tho I do need to balance real life). Before leaving I wasn't very active on the forums, wasn't very involved in learning about the game and different toon builds. People who remember me will I'm sure remember my frustrations with the game. I'd just kinda get in game and try things out with very little thinking ahead. This time around I'm trying to learn ahead of time, build toons that I won't find gimped. Well that and I have more patience with games than I did.

Please do respond about active players and guilds. If you see me with a LFM please do join. I've really enjoyed returning and would like to stick around, build up my buddy list, and find a group of regular players to enjoy the game with.

I know how you feel about rerolling toons I have made. And remade many.
It stems from low confidence... An aundair thing.
And its all TA's fault.

Either way, each remake makes u stronger.

And I agree each reroll is a learning experience, no regrets. It's just some time spent learning and having fun. But now I want to use a little foresight and build a toon that I'll keep around. That requires getting on the forum and involved in the community. Getting in conversations about what worked for that player's purposes and using that knowledge for my own gaming.

Well that and I realized that MMOs require you to specialize your toons into one focus area. So I'd build toons that I wanted to be able to do it all. A tank that can intimidate, two weapon, two handed, shield specialize, use range weapons, etc, etc. I've since chilled out and learned how to play with each toons limitation and focus area.

Sounds like you should make a bard. I can solo almost anything with mine. 34 str, +42
Dmg mod with a 2hander. Displacement haste. Fully spec maximized heals.
Really fun toon. You won't have the dps of a ranger or paladin, but you still bring
Tons to the party.

Last year a good bard could let even the worst groups succeed.

I'd be happy to talk builds on any style tho if your looking for input.

Thanks for the offer to help. I've never played a bard but it's on my to-do list. I never really took much interest in bards cause they always seemed like a support class. I've always had a rogue as my main and got my fill of being support class. Actually support class might not be the right choice of words. Bards, Rogues, Rangers, Monks, etc always seemed like optional classes when filling a group. I played a rogue so much that when I'm not playing that class I want to play a cleric, tank, or caster.

Once I get my rogue and tank into higher lvls I want to take another shot at a monk, possibly learn how to play a bard. I was also on the beta server toying around with favored soul. Once that's live I'll want to add one of those also. I never played a warforged either.
