I don't see them gimping another class's ability like that, maybe a +5% insight bonus to attack speed (means a bard covers everything that Windstance gives monks, but they can switch stances in order to capitalize on that, instead of being screwed out of attack speed) or a moral bonus like MrCow suggested.
Or make it part of the bonus to WCIII, letting you spend more time fighting and less time buffing.Originally Posted by MrCow

Nice post Mr Cow. Only thing I dislike is the huge ap costs on your spellsinger ideas.
One thing I'd add to Spell Singer 3:
Wall of Sound- expend a use of bardic song to create a wall of sonic damage. Similar damage to wall of fire or blade barrier as well as having metamagics able to increase the damage.
Would be nice to give spellsingers a chance to occasionally drop one of these for nice damage in between buffing, healing and crowd controlling duties.
Actually...
Virtuoso Enhancement: Dirge
Expend one Bardic Music to sing of a sad tale that brings pain to even the most foul demon's heart. Deals 1d6 per caster level of Sonic damage every second. Lasts 30 seconds or until song is cancelled. Prevents opponents from aggroing the bard during the duration, but after the song is over, all effected enemies receive an "Intimidate" effect towards the Bard for triple duration. Cannot be overwritten by Player Intimidate. Mindless Undead are immune to both effects.
How it works: It creates a visible field around the Bard (similar to the Arcane Skeleton's aura of pain) and keeps him playing constantly for 30 seconds. He can run around and swamp enemies in it. He's not able to attack like this. If the enemy is still alive, they WILL attack the Bard, and no one will be able to do anything about it.
The basic idea is that this is a crowd-killing song. You run in, help kill crowds with it, and such. If you dare to use it against a tougher monster, though, expect to find yourself in the pocket of a Cleric -- IF they're generous.

If you take the minimum possible, Spellsinger III is equivalent to Virtuoso III (35 AP, 1 feat). Warchanter was AP cheaper, but feat costly for the base line of things (30 AP, 2 feats).Originally Posted by Kielbasa
The things that makes Spellsinger look most costly is that it has a large set of "Choose one of:" along with the options of gaining "Improved Metamagic" like arcanes can pay for.
