I'd double check your firewall and make sure that its letting "dndclient.exe" "turbinelauncher.exe" and "turbineinvoker.exe" (if it's Vista) full inbound and outbound access to the internet. (Also if you are running it on Vista launch the game via "TurbineInvoker.exe" not "Turbinelauncher.exe")

The other occasional cause of the object reference error is . Net 1.1. Open up the "Add or Remove Programs" (on XP) or "Uninstall a Program" (on Vista) control panel option and look in the list for "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1" and "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 (Hotfix)” and uninstall both of those starting with "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1" and then the Hotfix (Which will give an error but it will remove itself from the list) and download and reinstall them from the links below:

    Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1

    The 1.1 Service Pack (Hotfix)

If it keeps up after that defnitely open a support request.

That error will come up if you run dndclient.exe directly as you have not logged into the game, launch it via "TurbineInvoker.exe" on Vista or "TurbineLauncher.exe" on XP, if that same error comes up definitely try reinstalling .Net 1.1 and its hotfix as the installation of those may have become corrupted.

If it keeps up after that definitely follow up with a support ticket.
