    Default .

Basicly i want to be able to Solo well. I play alone alot (Guildless) So i want to be able to find and disarm all traps and get all chests. I also want to have great Dps and be able to chop through mobs quick. I want UMD for wand and scroll usage and so i can use weapons that will be cheaper because of rr lol. The high Sp (well sorta) will be great for me cause i will be able to heal myself pretty good imo and keep myself and others if i have to alive. I want to be a front line fighter and not be a gimp.

can someone tell me what kinda Dps and AC/Hp's i could have with this build also?

Also need to know what Alignment i should go

Found it! This build is old, but Illuminati was a master:

    Definitely worth a look.

Just a few things I saw. Honestly, level 16 Ranger doesn't get you that much. 18 is required for Tempest III but 14 will get you a 4th level spell which could be Freedom of Movement or Cure Serious. You should also have Cure Moderate and 2 Lay on Hands for healing. And that can be supplemented by wands and hirelings.

I would probably drop Ranger to 14 and take Rogue to 3 for a few more skill points and the ability to purchase your Rogue skills at 1 to 1 for those levels. That would also get you evasion more quickly. It would also give you another d6 of sneak attack damage, though it's hard to take advantage of that when soloing.

Taking Paladin to 6 or 7 is another option for a 13/6/1 or 12/7/1 build for Hunter of the Dead is another option, but it would hurt your skills.

I would also take Undead as a FE first. There are a few giants at low levels, but Undead are all over and immune to crits and Sneak Attack to boot.

As for alignment, if you take Paladin, you must be Lawful Good.

Finally, +1 Tomes can be assumed, but don't count on any +2 tomes you don't already have. And remember that new tomes are getting a minimum level in Mod 9.

    Enhancement: Paladin Toughness II
Enhancement: Rogue Improved Trap Sense I
I fixed the tomes to the ones i already have. I think i like this a bit better because of the Pal Spells. I might drop 1 Rog and increase Pal or rgr though, im not to worried about getting evasion earlier, i will have it eventually.

I would go with something more unconventional with these three classes which produces more dps. 11 ranger 5 rogue 4 paladin. 11 ranger to get gtwf. Since you obviously want pally immunities I went with 3 paladin + the extra paladin level. 5 rogue levels for dps. If you want ac go with monk splash.

    Starting Stats:
17 strength (level ups into str)
11 dex (+2 dex tome to get dodge)
    16 con
    8 wis
    8 int
    14 cha

Edit: swap weapon focus for oversized twf that nets you +1 more to hit.

This initially strikes me as a very odd class mix.
11 Ranger? But for one more level you get Tempest II (mediocre) and 5-point Barkskin (excellent). Feels almost like you took 5 ranger levels to get one feat. Ranger 15 also brings another FE and more FE damage.
4 Paladin? Is this for a short burst of +1/+1 from Divine Whicheveronethatis? The 4th level of Paladin seems to be one of the least significant Paladin levels.
5 Rogue? Makes sense, but isn't getting you anything except more Sneak Attack, so my inclination would be to dump "extra" levels into Rogue when the next bump of Ranger of Paladin doesn't offer much.

So I think my main options would be:
    - Ranger 15/Paladin 3/Rogue 2. Rogue 2 is kinda mediocre, but does bring a handy +1 DEX -- seems better than Ranger 16. Rogue 2 might be taken at 20.
    - Ranger 12/Rogue 5/Paladin 3. Gets a lot of the best of what Ranger offers, with 3 favored enemies, max Barkskin, and Tempest II, while also fitting the best of Paladin, 3d6 worth of Sneak Attack, and trivially maintaining skills (including Intimidate if desired).

    Default Hmm

guess i should have mentioned that i dont want to be sneak attacking, i know its more dps and what not but i wont like running around in sneak mode. I just want the Rog for the Umd and the Rog skills tbh. and the Haste boost ofc

Ranger 12 vs. Paladin 4 is simply barkskin for this build vs. paladin toughness 2. Both are lame levels. Your Ranger 15 paladin 3 rogue 2 is less dps so not too interested in that.

You dont have to sneak to get sneak damage you just swing your weapon and if you do not have aggro or the monster is incapacited in some way you get it. The rogue levels give you more dps especially on raid bosses and the like with multiple people attacking the boss.

Despite its name, that's not how sneak attack works. As long as aggro isn't on you, you get sneak attack damage. That can happen simply because you are switching to a new target you haven't beat on yet, and can happen reliably if there is someone holding aggro with Intimidate or Hate.

It's almost shockingly easy to get SA in DDO, except when Fortification on an enemy outright blocks it. Quite valuable.

I disagree that Ranger 12 is a lame level. This give you +2 AC (Tempest II [when you don't have Shield on] and Barkskin) and gives everybody else +1 AC. To my way of thinking (which is very AC centric), that's a fantastic level.

Your Ranger 15 paladin 3 rogue 2 is less dps so not too interested in that.
I assume you mean because of Sneak Attack? In non-SA situations, I'm fairly sure it's more.

If your desire is to max DPS w/ SA, I think it's hard to justify any Ranger levels beyond 6. Nothing wrong with that, but a rather different build. To me the main reasons to take Ranger levels beyond 6 are Barkskin (12 being key), Favored Enemy (10 and 15 being key), and the extra attack (18 being key). If your not interested in any of those, I think you just want the Tempest I package.

First level would be Rogue, for the skill points. After that a ton of different progression could work out. Personally I'd consider following Illuminati's plan to 16, and then taking 4 Rogue levels thereafter.

This is not an ac build so it is lame other then its nice to cast a full barkskin on others.

Edit: the actual best build with the OPs criteria is a 11 rogue 6 ranger 3 paladin with enough dex to get gtwf.

I never said this would be the build I would make but it was the hand we were dealt with. The justification in pnp for going 11 ranger is so you can dump dex, but sadly in DDO you can not even do that all the way because of the need to have dodge for tempest and regardless it does not make as much a difference to dump dex. The only build I have thought of that dumping dex would be an interesting feature for would be a twf blob build (high hit point with o.k. dps build).

if the OP does not care for ac, why go pally at all? i would suggest a 15 ranger/3 rogue/2 fighter combo. great utility, good dps, good hps, traps, umd, etc. lots of feats and you can even get a decent ac situationally.

Sigh. Why is the charisma so low and the dex and int so high? Why go 3 paladin with a low charisma? Anyway best of luck to you.
