This is an idea I Would LOVE to see implemented into DDO.

At 6th level you can choose the "Leadership" feat. Instantly giving you the ability to "Custom create" a "Hireling" companion that will be able to level up with you, however remain 1 level lower than you at all times.

A sidekick in essence. I LOVE the Leadership feat in PNP DND. It is an extraordinary ability.

And the ability to equip a "Companion" with gear, and customize their build, race, class etc. would be an extraordinary addition to the DDO community.

Maybe even have certain "Racial Templates" available in the Item Store allowing you to buy a Hobgoblin, Orc, etc. companion.

I would love to see this. It would benefit both those who desire the ability to solo in DDO giving them a constant adventurer to aid them, as well as parties affording them customized, and personalized companions.

Beyond that, with the extraordinary minds here in this community with builds, who wouldn't love the ability to build a companion with some of the exceptional character builds on the forums?
