I was Typing this for another thread that was gone by the time I got done. Hi, Eldun
Anyways.............
It's not often, but when I'm in a total pug raid and I pull a bound tome or Raid loot. I kind of have my own little system of doing things:
Example: For argument sake, let us say I pulled a +3-charisma tome on my Barbarian.
1. I see if I can really use it. If so, I eat it. In this case, I go to option 2.
2. I ask who needs a +3-cha tome. Pug raid-loot rolling is stupid, in my opinion. It is my loot, so it is my rules. At this point, I really watch the volunteers, and then I categorize:
***** Pileon's: Those who wouldn't benefit from a +8 tome.....screw them, even if they were on a Sorc. I eat it.
***** Acquaintance: I kind of recognize the name, and I have played with them before.....If they are on someone that in my opinion would benefit from the tome. I might just give it to them. Figuring since I do play with this person from time to time, it may just benefit me in the long run. By making their character stronger....If I feel they are just being greedy (My tome, my opinion). Example: If a Wizzy wanted it
. I will ask for a trade, maybe a +2 tome I could actually use on some toon.
***** Friend/non-guildie: The acquaintance has no chance. If he thinks he can use it, it is his. If they are a good friend, I will probably get a favor back down the line. It's a karma thing.
***** Guildie: Automatically theirs if they can use it. In my eye's it’s like eating a tome on one of my own characters. I count on this player so I want them as good as they can be.
.....just my 2 cents.
