Deal! If you are the type that would loot something you didn't need, your guildmate didn't need and snag it for the cheap sale at the tavern keeper or to slap in the bank or whatever; please by all means exclude me from any raid you are a part of (names in sig).

I subscribe to the standard don't be an a$$hat rules. If you can't use it give it to someone that can, guildies, friends, and non idiot pugs. In that order. Tomes, those I'll eat unless a guildie can use it more than me. I'm not passing a tome to a pug. That's just that.

I'll roll it off if it benefits someone else. I don't even put effort into it when there is equal need, I just exclude any "joke rolls"(Fighter 16 rolls on Lorrik's Necklace, for example).

Yes, I am *that* guy that gives the +3 CHA tome to a Bard instead of the Sorc that has already eaten a +2 and has 140 completions of whatever raid it is. The sorc has time to spare, the bard does not(Casual vs Power players, mind). I will also leave the item in the chest for a short while during my /tell-fest searching for the greatest need. No, I don't do trades, Raid Loot is Gift-Only. Accepting a bribe is over the top douchébaggery.


Also, just because it drops in the chest does not mean it is up for roll. I may take it, or I may hand it to someone that needs it. Simple as that. Yes, I hold guildmates over others in loyalty, but will throw it at someone I have run with before simply because they don't have it yet. Example: Lorrik's Shield drops. Paladins go apesh*t rolling on it. I throw it at the Cleric, who has been ardently pursuing it with every weekend she has for the last 2 months. They get angry. I tell em the cleric needed it more, and catch flak. /squelch, /squelch. Done. Next day, /squelch remove, /squelch remove. Done.

This behavior results from such actions as a Wizard 16 on Argo rolling on and winning by roll, Tharne's Goggles. He took them right in front of my needy Assassin. Another 20 goes by, not a sign of them.

I call this the "Not an @$$hat, but screw your rules" style. It's so effective that it has become the general ruleset for Argonessen PuGs. It may make its way to Thelanis if you aren't careful...

The other agro rule is if you beg for my loot or demand my loot you will NOT get it. Period! If I want to give or roll it I will. If you were begging or demanding you will not be allowed to win it.

Sharing loot is beneficial to the community.

A lot of us fear PUGS and their potential lack of gear, but sharing with the have nots when we don't need the gear makes good sense. After a while random pugs can knock out quests with ease.

Granted if you're using a Cloudburst on Harry, you're doomed to begin with

Your loot is your loot. However, the more selfish the action, the more likely people like Eldun will get ****y and personally blacklist you. The +3 cha tome wasn't particularly a good example, but that just highlights the fact that no matter what you do, you'll **** off someone eventually

The only reason I still run my TWF ranger mutt through Hound is for the shield that I will almost never use. I'm fully aware that when I get it, someone is gonna be crying in vent/chat/tells whatever.

a good example of raid loot whoring is like this.

you win the roll
person passes the loot to you.. Whoops wrong name.
You ask politely to have the loot passed to you.
The person that had the loot passed to them then passes it to someone else
they loot it and drop group.


The +3cha tome is minimal IMO. Still sucks but not huge.

wow must be alot of rerolls out there these days, I mean how could anyones main even need any of the raid loot, these raids have been out for years, and we havent seen a new one in a year essentially+, all newbs or rerolls are the only people needing anything, so all we do is dole out our raid loot if we actually still played

ATM machines in bars should be against the law. Matter of fact, ALL atm machines should have a breathalyzer on them and block access to inebriated customers. Yesterday in the hound a saw a drow 2wp fighting rogue loot the loriks champion shield without saying a word to the group most people noticed .

It had been a while since i had seen such greed needless to say that you wont see me and that person in the same group often .

I had never in about 200 runs in the hound seen something like that i guess that rogue is really special .

Ill gldaly pm the name and guild if anyones interested .

you know, that shield is the best for blocking in game and everyone can use it
also it has panacaea clickys for when you get feebleminded and such

Cause the benefit to a 2wp figthing class is marginal compared to a cleric .

You know the bards cloak eveyrone can use too but its called a bards cloak .

And yes a healbot cleric with 8 str can use a plus 3 str tome .

You can make a case that anyone can use anything but the simple fact that in 200 runs that had never happen once i think theres a common ground for most here apparently that rogue is beyond all that .

The blocking dr you say will he use that blocking dr when he solos or for all teh times he tank suulu in visions ? or when hell tank the hound ?

Yeah that was me, since I admit it in public you can now stop your pm war, but whatever.

Sorry for that, but since it was the only single item I needed from that, and it drops for me, hell yeah I will take it. I'm not wasting my time for nothing.
Passed away rolling chances already and only took since it dropped specifically for me. Know what, in 200 runs I've never seen it drop for me at all, not once.

The reason I didn't quick ninja it but left it in chest for a bit was exactly that ppl will realize that I'm aware of what I get not just ignorantly ninjaing. People would've just as noticed me taking it regardless, but would be even more upset if I took it in a heartbeat. Shall I tell you a story about a pure healbot cleric with the tharne goggles? (and no, I was not upset, didn't whine, actually already had the goggles but it's still odd), rest assured that cleric will have way less use of the goggles than I will have for the shield.

Btw how dare you judge my playstyle and claim I won't have any use of it? I use a shield a lot more than you may think, even on twf.
