I think that is realistically too much of a jump to get this to happen, not to mention Fedor has no incentive to cut down to 205 to fight Silva.

I think Nogs is just too old to want any of Lesnar honestly, not that he would not be game, but he is slowing down. Coture has a great stand up, but with those meat-sized fists of Lesnar coming thats asking a lot of a 42 year old who was a great fighter but now more on the downslope.

It is sad to say that only the pathetic likes of somebody like Kimbo Slice can offer the sort of straight stand up duke-it-out type of beating that would be required.

Several of the TUF guys from the upcoming episode look like they may be gamers though, so you never can tell who is around the corner next.

Either way, you can gurantee that the UFC will keep Lesnar as busy as they can for the next 6 months to a year. They have a "champion" that polarizes fans...pro or con. What more could Dana want?
Whoever is talking about Silva obviously doesnt know what they are talking about, yeah he would have to jump 2 weight classes. This is not old school UFC with no weight classes. Thats been gone for along time now.

I completely agree here. The only issue with the Heavyweight Division in the UFC currently is this:

Too many hasbeens or notquite there types yet. Decent fights with peeps on the downslope vs decent fights with up and comers.

This is the primary reason I'd love to se Fedor come over.

The 205 weight class is full of talent maybe Rampage or Chuck Liddel would step up to heavey weight and shut this blow hard up.

Hopefully after TUF when Rampage kicks the hell out of Evans, Dana will push for exactly that to happen.

Liddell is done, Dana pretty much told him that. Rampage "may" be able to make the jump fairly easy as allegedly he needs to cut to make it to 205 every fight.

    Default Any thoughts?

what do you think is the difference between European/Russian/Brazilian/Asian fighters. to those of USA/Canadian stock? Any comments, thoughts,Ideas?

My thought is that Russian, Brazilian, European,Asian fighters is that fighting maybe the way out of eating shi^ on a stick. Or getting out of living in war torn places, where hunger is the norm. Crime/Mafioso's are the good guys.. These types of fighters/athletes stay hungry even when they reach the top. They do not get the Champions disease lol. As some of us, USA fighters seem to do.

So those saying that Forrest was knocked out with a jab are officially wrong, go google it. The kid had his jaw dislocated and couldn't hear after the 2nd knockdown, which was why after the 3rd, he just quit and and ran back to the lockerroom. Which is also why he wasn't at the post-fight press conference...he was at the hospital getting checked out.

There's too much emphasis put on Fedor...if he beats Brock, then who's next to fight? I hope this season of TUF brings in some fresh/hungry talent at the HW division.

I understand what you are saying and guessed as much, however i think the point is the Official Punch that ended the fight was a jab. The punch that caused the injury was earlier.

If Dana is going to let Tito fight then i see no reason not to let Chuck fight, if he still wants to. I think both Chuck And Tito got caught up in the Hollywood hype and Lost their edge.

    I completely agree.

On a different note, I'm trying to decide if I think $25 is worth it to see Carano and Cyborg duke it out tomorrow night.

Anyone else even remotely interested in this fight?

Carano can throw.. I was genuinely surprised at how aggressive she was.. I'm just not THAT interested in seeing it..

I'm a firm believer that women can compete and do whatever they want, but there are some sports I just don't enjoy seeing women do. Fighting is one of them, I guess I like my women a little more on the feminine side.. Not the kind that will kick my arse...

I did google it, and you fail.

Initial fears that Forrest Griffin had a suspected dislocated or even fractured jaw after being hit on the mandibular bone by Anderson Silva at UFC 101 in Philadelphia on Saturday night were allayed on Sunday when one of his coaches confirmed to a source working alongside Griffin’s team at the event that there has been no break, fracture or dislocation.

It is understood that after initial concerns, Griffin was found to have no injury. That includes concerns over his his hearing. But his spirit was clearly broken.

Griffin exited the Octagon and arena at a jog after being knocked down three times in the first round, signalling ‘no mas’ on the ground after being put down for the third time by a left jab *** left cross by the silky Spider Silva.

There will be moves after Silva’s performance to pair him with Lyoto Machida, the UFC light-heavyweight champion, although Silva laughed that off at the post-event news conference, insisting that it was not possiblem because they are ‘like brothers’.

I have no interest in watchng Tito lose again to Chuck. I think Chuck still has more fight left in him though. Im just saying if Tito can fight then IMO chuck is a beter fighter and should be allowed to fight.

I beat the $#!+ out of the World Toughman Champion on his way to MMA tourney in Atlanta, in a gas station a couple of months ago... Does that count? He had to go to the hospital to get several stitches and could not participate...

Check my Facebook, gotta scroll down a little bit... The guy that posted about the stitches was the officer that showed up. Luckily for me, we used to take turns playing FB in high school... He gave my brother the name of the guy, and it checked out! If you haven't saved me as a friend yet, I'm on Hordo's list...

Lesner beat Randy once no doubt he can do it again. Im not a Lesner fanatic hes just fun to watch.
Machida is nuts. The dude is a chess player facing checkers players. He wears you down and makes you fight his fight. By far one of my faves to watch.
