Next time you get a lecture, just remember the national average salary of any forum admin is comparable to that of your local McDonald's assistant manger........ stating facts must suck.....

dunno really but be forewarned if you try to haggle someone down on their price you are most likely at a disadvantage.

    nice.... +1.

..But i am not looking atm. I pulled one as a shroud end reward and have never used haggle before. one of my guild mates told me to AH it as it would fetch alot, but, dunno what i'm gonna do with it.. i guess everyone could use a haggle item. I just never haggle...

    Thanks for the offer though!

Its a whole new game once you do. Roll a bard or a rogue and put some points in it. Max out the points, don't stress about max Cha. While it obviously helps, it can also limit the build (depending on what you do).

Oh and never take advice from a drunk. Well yeah, not drunk yet anyway .

Unless you're desperate for instacash, use it on your highest Haggle character. You'll notice a nice difference in selling and buying prices. You'll make up the money from not selling it over time.

Haggle +15 is only slightly better than a Haggle +13 would be, and those are fairly commonly found (by anyone looking for one) so in some way that limits the value.

Haggle bonus gets you discounts when buying and adds value when you sell. The +2 difference between a 13 and 15 adds 0.5% to your selling prices, and cuts your buying prices by about 1.2%. Does not sound like a lot, but here is the math.

Sell one 100K Item with a 10 Haggle Score for 17.5% of it retail or 17.5K
Sell the same 100K item with a 12 Haggle Score for 18% or 18K. You just earned an extra 500 Gold.

If you have no haggle item and now go from a 10 to a 25 for example, when you sell that 100K item you will now get 21.25% for it or 21.25K gold or an extra 3,750 gold over the base of 10.

Sell a million gold retail of items (quite possible with a night of high end questing) and you will net an extra 37.5K gold with them item vs not. Adds up quick.

Keep in mind that it would only be the MARGINAL increase of +2 that applies to most players with haggle focused toons, not the whole bonus.

When buying a stack of Cure Serious Pots, the reduction in price is about .6% per haggle point you have from the base cost at 0 Haggle. If you start with a 0 haggle at a vendor, you pay 117.5% of retail. With a 12 Haggle you pay 110.45%, with a 24 Haggle you pay 103.4%. Haggle builds with a Haggle of lets say 60 pay 82.25% of retail. When buying a stack of 100 pots that would cost you 100K gold (base price) with a 0 haggle you have to pay 117.5K Gold, while a 60 haggle toon only pays 82.25K gold, a savings of 35K gold for that one stack of pots.

The synergy works both ways. You get more cash for what you sell and you spend less of that cash to purchase supplies you need. That is partly why some players who play the same amount of time, seem to have very different amounts of cash to toss around.

Back to the question about its worth. Unless you are running a Hagglebot for a guild and buying millions of gold worth of supplies often, it is very very likely to be worth more to you as it is, especially if you do not have anything else to pump up haggle score. (Ring of Lies from Reaver has a +10 Haggle Kicker IIRC which is often what someone might hold onto.) They are fairly common, and I see them on the AH for only a few multiples of their base price fairly often now. 6 months ago, they were a lot scarcer and more coveted, but most hagglebots probably already have one, which removes a huge bidding source. I know I have multiple ones I have held onto for different slots on my bard (just like my assortment of +15 perform Items I also have stashed).
