    Question Bluetooth Headset won't work in DDO, but works fine in Windows?

    I have a Jawbone Bluetooth headset that I've gotten to work perfectly on my PS3 in the past, and the other day I tried to use it on my computer. After following all the instructions in the DDO FAQs perfectly, I got it to work fine in Windows. If I open the sound recorder and speak into my headset, the computer recognizes it and plays it back. However, after adjusting the settings on DDO to function with my headset, I get nothing when I open the Mic Test. I've tried every single combination of options, input devices, output devices, and the like, and my mic gain is all the way up. When I speak in to the mic, nothing happens to the mic test bar and when I try speaking in parties, no one can hear me.

    Try opening your Userpreferences.ini file (its in "Documents" on Vista, or "My Documents" on XP > "Dungeons and Dragons Online") and try the settings below in the [Voice] section:

    NetworkLatencyThresh=100
    MicVolume=1.00
    MicCaptureThreshold=0.25
    VoiceVolume=1.00

    Make those changes as needed then exit the prefs file choosing "Yes" when prompted to save changes.
