Dark-Star, would it be possible for you to use the DDO Planner to present this build? Its a clean and clear way to present the build without any chance of mistakes or misunderstanding (regardless of our native language).
Many thanks.

There ya go Duskslayer.
Came out one less rank in diplo and haggle due to the tome change so a +1 int was taken at lvl 3 instead of 1.
Overall it still came out pretty much the same as Dark-Star made it.

Was wondering if this would be any good as human or any other race?
I'm getting close to TRing my Survivor (2 Pally/12 Acrobat/6 Ftr Defender) I love the toon, becasue he is so hard to kill. Unfortunately his HPs are only at 473 and he hits like a little girl. He is built on rogue skills, improved evasion, Itimidate, UMD and he is All Defense. His low HP really gimps him for Epic Stuff and if I can get him a +4 Con Tome and Epic Jerky, I can get him to 503 HPs..... Still to low. Had I made him WF or Dwarf, he would have much more HP. A great build, just the wrong race.
I'm going to TR Him into the Hurtlocker build, but was thinking with the New changes to Update 5 of crossing him with the Big F'ing Stick Build. Basically, Not taking Khopesh or TWF and going with Q Staffs (update 5 adds Dex bonus to Q staff sneak damage), and taking the 2HF chain all the way to Greater. You lose a lot with the loss of two weapons as far as Greensteel benifits go, but the ability of "weighted" in Epic dungeons is nice, and he will be a madman with the Q Staff. Can you Build a similar build combining both the Hurtlocker and the Big F'ing Stick Build for Update 5 that is viable. I still love the versatility of your Hurtlocker and don't want to lose the defense and offense capabilities...+1 Rep still..Great Job..

Well...
As he is now, I do use q-staves on him from time to time. My opinion would be to not chage his feats to THF, as come next mod they will do even less than they do now (for twitching, which is what you need to do to compete with THF). I can see adding GTHF if they implement some of the things they are hinting at (feats increase Glancing Blow chance, as well as the enhancements for WF actually working), but for now stay with the versatility of GTWF and simply use your staff as needed.
Few other things: weighted is being changed pretty dramatically, and will be far less of a reliable fighting style. The way that wind stance works has also been changed. Adding dex to Ssneak attack damage for staffs will be nice though, 10+ for Thehurtlocker. However I think that having a Radiance 2 kukri/khopesh off hand will be more beneficial than a staff for damage. We'll have to see how things are implemented in the final release, but I will not be changing anything about him at this point after my tests on Lamannia.

Awesome.
Thanks for your thoughts. I'm definitely going to TR soon. Maybe I'll wait till Mod 5 comes out to see what they finally decide stays/goes. I really hate to waste a feat on Khopesh when the Acrobat/Staff is so much fun, especially with the Dex/Sneak Damage coming...... But I think your points are very valid....

Hey Dark,
I noticed that your armor is DT Docent and that when you Tank, you switch to Defiance. I understand that the 20 DR is great, however you lose the +5 to saves, +3 dodge, and +6 char (+3 intim). Do you notice/need those things, or is the build just so good, that you dont notice the loss? I am going to TR to this build soon, and am trying to get all the equipment now on all my raids and such. Point me in the right direction please.
Battlehawke
It more that the Docent of Defiance is that good for tanking than the build is that special. Saves will be very high anyway, and turtling up with the DoD is huge defensively.
I have not updated gear for epic, but with the coming upgrades to a lot of the epic items in U5, you can fit in the cha in another slot pretty easily.

Thanks for the excellent build Dark-Star! My main character, Formal on Thelanis, was created using your build. He has been a great deal of fun to play. I don't have much of the optimal gear yet but most of my play-mates are also on their first-toon-to-cap. I can report that the Hurtlocker functions well in that environment with sub-optimal gear.
My two cents on the current discussion: Radiance is awesome. I just completed a Radiance kukri on Monday and my DPS has increased dramatically. I'm taking down the Sub-T trash in half the time or less. If there was any decrease in DPS from the changes to TWF it was more than balanced out by the increase from Radiance. I do carry a staff or two for certain situations but I say Radiance is generally the way to go.
was looking to build my first warforged character and landed up doing something different 1 rog/ 1 monk/ 18 ranger. I wish I saw this earlier.

I love the concept of this build and I'm thinking about TRing a fighter into it but I had a couple questions post U5
Has the "fix" to tumble had any noticable impact on tank mode for this build or have you not even really noticed it? I know harried etc effects tumble now but I haven't tested tumble speed in stances.
And
What are your thoughts on Whirling Steel Strike instead of Khopesh? It'd drop some crit damage true but it'd be able to stay in stance, granted at 1 level of monk that's only a +2 bonus to given stats.
Tumble impacts the build minimally, when you use the Docent of Defiance or pali stance, you are generally not moving too much (VoD being the exception).
WSS is less DPS, for 2 feats. Could give slightly more defense, but not sure it's worth it.

Thanks. WSS I was just curious about, seemed like it might have some novelty with +2 str and Strike of the enduring 1 every few hits.
Any advice on ideal past life for the build? I'm going fighter at the moment but FvS or Sorc seem like they could work acceptably for a few more SP. Rogue seems a little meh.
I was looking into this build carefully (as I am currently following it to satisfy my alt-oholism) and find myself wondering about just one thing....how can you pull off the Bladesworn Transformation when you only take the first level of Faith? In neither the original post nor in the nifty CharGen posts here towards the end is the Advanced Faith picked up....I'd love to find out what you did where before I get that far along...Thanks.
Edit: Looking over the enhancements critically, it seems there's 1AP left unaccounted for....assuming that I dropped something that cost 3AP I could pick up the second level of Faith. Rogue Haste 3 and Racial Toughness 3 seem to be the only enhancements that fit the bill.....still looking forward to your answer to this. Thanks again.

Hi, I was looking for an acrobat build and stumbled on this. I love multipurpose characters as well and get bored of more focused ones, ending up always deleting them around level 10 ;-) and this build is amazing... but it's not exacly what i was looking for.
I don't like warforged very much, and I would like to use staves. I got access to 32 point build, drow and monk, but not to tomes and high end gear.
You suggested to stick to TWF, but do you think THF , even though less effective, would still be effective enough to be enjoyable?
What alternative race(s) do you think could work out well?
With the new sneak attack dex bonus maybe an elf, drow or halfling?
What would you use as starting stats? This is always my biggest doubt that makes me reroll each toon thousands of times.
Also i saw this nice quarterstaff in ddowiki
http://ddowiki.com/page/Breeze
And seems made right for the character I was thinking about. Eh, if only staves could be used with finesse one could make a char that could hit _anything_ ;-)
Thanks for this wonderful build and all the useful info, it's been an interesting reading.
Esoel
Esoel....you may want 2 look at the Big F'ing Stick build under Rogues..... It's probably moore of what you're looking for...
Battlehawke
BTW... Just TR'd last week, my "Hurt" is at 10... Having a great time.. He is very very well equipped.... and RULES!!!
Have solo'd many quests that many groups fail in.... i.e. Tear at 6 on Norm, Von 1-4 on Normal, ect., Also, had to play roles of Tank, Healer, and Rogue many times over...
