    It can be done with orther races, but just not as well.

    My original version was halfling, which at first glance seemed to me the ideal race for this build. As I started fleshing out the numbers, item slots and enhancements got very tight (you really need the Icy Raiments, and that makes you have to find another place for a +5 resist item, +6 cha item, and +3 dodge item). At the cost of hitpoints (dipping below 500 standing was also something I wanted to avoid), there was a bit more AC, and slightly higher saves, but the halfling version almost begged to go dex based and weapon finesse for even more AC, and then it started to lose what I was designing. I wanted a build that could do damage standing toe to toe with mobs as well as sneak attacking, and the WF does that better. In addition to the DoD and the immunities that you mentioned, WF have the ability to be healed by arcanes, which is huge situationally in my experience. Lastly, being able to ignore the horned devil's healing curse is important for me in an elite level raid tank.

    You won't be turtling in full plate as it will cancel both your monk AC and your improved evasion. Despite that, with stoneskin the turtling numbers for a fleshy in a robe are not too far behind, until the DoD procs (all praise grazing hits!).

    Grr infi. Yeah I will be able to run with this char in a couple of days with a lowbie. I might have to powerlevel a quick day to catch up though..

    What I'm noticing is a dependence on a lot of boosts. Sure you get IUD, and Showtime is a function of the tier2 PrE...but you do have to buy the Rogue Boost to get it...and then there's the Paladin AC boost...and up above I excised the quote about Haste Boost (which you probably mean as Rogue Haste Boost)...am I wrong in thinking that RHB is the same COUNTER as Showtime? Not the same timer, just counter.

    Also, I think you're including 4AC from a Shield wand alongside +10AC from adding in Levik's.

    I think I like the Paladin brand of this build better.

    The rogue haste boost II is prereq for Acrobat 1, so you will have that anyway. Besides it is one of the best enhancements in the game, and it would have been chosen anyway. Paladin AC boost is a prereq for Def of Sib 1, so included it because I'll have it anyway. Rogue haste boost is the same counter as Showtime I believe, so it will be situational use: one for defense, one for offense.

    The build does rely on boosts to get its top end AC, but will have decent AC without them. The build will have a lot of Improved Uncanny Dodges (seven I think) at 30 seconds each.

    Good catch on the turtling AC, will fix that thanks.

    This is the way it currently is, but I think they are changing this for next mod. Showtime is just like the Kensai power surge and neither will take away from haste boost next mod.

    i am only at lvl 4 and got work in 30 minutes so u might catch me sooner then u think

    maybe its just me, ive only built 1 warforge, but dont you have to decide whether or not take mithral body at creation?
    otherwise, it looks like a fun build to play

    That used to be the case, but they changed it a few mods ago.

    Update: level 5 now. 36 AC and very high saves for the level have made STK elite and quests like Deleras a breeze. Rogue skills are a bit lacking so far.

    I would suggest alternating your rogue/non-rogue levels more. You should be able to maximize more of your rogue skills (even OL and/or spot). You will also need to take a few AP worth of the rogue skills and rogue skill boost to be able to handle elite content. I know I needed those on my rogue mutt thru the mid levels. At higher levels you can afford to drop them for something else.

    He's just about 10 now. The build is maturing, and seems to be capable of switching from offense to defense as needed. Pretty survivable so far relatively.

    I am contemplating switching of the leveling a bit and take 6 pali before the mod hits, making him a better tank sooner. Will have to think about that some more.

    i got to 8 and a 1/2 today but have to call it quits for sleep got work in 5hrs.. hopefully i can catch up tomorrow to your mr 11

    You doing the same build? Any observations so far? I'm very interesting in this build, even though I don't think I'm going to be rolling it (not even my Fighter version).

    no was just lvling another toon with him and trying to catch up now, might make one next mod though

    One of the best thing about rangers are that they can go with 14 dex and still duel wield without any tomes..
    you fool no one with 8 wis and calling it an AC build.. wisdom is also neat for poor will saves(which low wis rangers got).. dont waste that +2tome, sell it instead.

    As Infi said, level 11 now. I have increased offense and decreased defense a bit, going to twf now and mostly no shield.

    Only issue is on some elite quests I find it better to turn off PA and use +5 shocking burst scimis to make sure I hit often enough. With a bard PA is fine.

    One more level for crippling strike.... mmmm. Two more levels and I'll have wisdom added to ac. I have not taken the khopesh feat yet, but that's mainly due to the nice weapons I have of the non khopesh variety. Maybe I'll swap it in at 12th.

    Thehurtlockr has died five times so far, and I play pretty loose and zergy. So far so good.
