Hey Ron don't mean to be a bother but hows the EDs and Lvl21-25 coming? Anything we can do to help, info gathering etc.

Working on a game is about a 48 hour a day job, heh [for those that might not know, I'm the producer, designer, and programmer for a dungeon crawler type game in development] . It's absolutely insane how much time it takes up to design and code and level build and animate models and etc, etc, etc. Doesn't leave me with much time for anything else (including playing DDO, which is now down to about 2 hours a week playing with my static group).
I'm really pushing very hard to get done with the second milestone by the end of the year. It's going to be very close. I should be done somewhere around there though.
Once I finish that, I'm thinking I will take a week off from the game before starting Milestone 3 to get the planner updated with epic levels. What there is to do is not very hard (the data is the same for all classes, unlike the first 20 levels). There is some coding to do (I think we need a new tag for feats and enhancements to tag them as "epic", so that will take some coding, as well as a bit of shuffling to get those new five levels on the UI). I'm not sure how much data gathering there is to do at this point. Maybe once I have the coding in place, I can use the help with the new feats/enhancements.
I'm sorry guys, I know I've been slacking on the planner. I've been a hobbyist game programmer for many years, but when I decided to tackle this latest project, I made a big commitment to it (both financially and mentally). So I've got a lot at stake with it being successful. Plus, in all honesty, it's where my passion is right now

ME BARB, ME SMA-ok I stand here with pretty blue lines around me. ok I take damage. ok bye.
Hey Ron no worries was just wondering if you'd left DDO behind (which would be totally ok even though we'd miss you) no need to rush or drop you life or anything was mostly just wondering if there was anything we could do to help (well except help code...cause well I dunno how to :P)

Now, when the enhancement overhaul hits, that may be a problem....
Not yet. It needs coding first. After that, I could probably use help in gathering data for the epic stuff.

...already working on it...and translating it into CharacterPlannerese. If you keep the feats the way they currently work, I'm ready to cut/paste nearly anytime you want and send you what I have.
As for the Epic Destinies, I have a whole bunch still to go as I've only played with a couple and decided to just take those down. I have them typed up as if they were Enhancements, as in the current system, but without the umbrella-like parent headings. As I collect more, we'll be in good shape when you get back to it.
I just wanted to say I love the app and still use it. I'm experienced enough to wing it at times, but having a solid plan helps. So, I always keep an eye out for updates!
BTW, my skill point allocation is often higher in the game than in the planner. Not been able to figure out exactly the problem as people are usually waiting on me to level. I suspect that the tomes are not getting counted in.
Yehediah (Dwarf Cleric), Zeddek (Human Favored Soul)
Mezros (Drow Bard), Fieris (Drow Wizard)
Freibo (Halfling Rogue)
Exactly.
The way the CP works is that the tomes are applied at the end of the levelling for that level. In-Game if we TR or LR and have eaten a +3 tome we get the +1 at the beginning of third level, the +2 the beginning of 7th level and the final part of the +3 at the beginning of 11th level. In order to simulate that one needs to "use" your tome in the planner during the preceding level. This causes you to begin your Tome Level with the correct, in-game stats and subsequent additional skill points if applicable.
And, folks, just remember: you read a tome, you are buried in a tomb.
If you folks have any more questions about the planner feel free to ask and I'm sure that Ron or any one of us minions will be happy to answer them for you.
Yeah, we've tried to address that problem before, but there isn't a great solution for it. The CP just doesn't have enough information to tell if you ought to get those points before you level, or after. The only real solid solution we have is to ask the user, and that would require a new UI for tomes (and even that gets complex, because what if you rezzed with a +1 tome, and then ate a +1 tome during the same level? Very tricky).
And while that is possible to do, I worry about it. Because a lot of users just are not going to know how to answer such a question correctly. You really have to know the ins and outs of the rez system and the tome system to understand what the CP is asking you. We could put a disclaimer saying "if you don't know, leave it as is" or something.
But yeah, it's a problem I've never really been able to satisfactorily solve. As Hordo says, the workaround is to take the tome one level early (this is the exact reason we took out the minimum level restrictions on tomes).

Is there a mobile version usable on BlackBerry phones (storm 2) ?
Thanks.

Hey Hordo (and the rest of the gang),
Let's try and get the planner updated. Since my other project didn't hit its deadline, I'm not going to delay the planner any further. I do still need to work on that so I don't get too much further behind, but I can put some time into the planner.
What do you need from me right now? Just the ability to select levels 21-25?

Forgive my ignorance gang, I don't have a character with Epic levels (not even a level 20 anymore, since I TRed my last one).
I'm getting levels 21-25 into the planner, and ran across something I wasn't sure about.
For levels 21-25, you don't select a class, it's simply "Epic", right? Or do you?

Yup.
you gain levels in epic without selecting any class. It doesn't matter what class you are lvls 1 - 20, 21-25 is just Epic. you get the 10Hp blah blah blah
In terms of the Character planner it is important because at Lvl 21 & 24 you get a feat (With epic feat options) and at lvl 24 You get a Stat raise as per normal.
(EDIT: You might know that part already but I'm putting it here for in case)
Don't let common sense stop you...
