Default Bard Lyric of Incredible Song - never mentioned...

Just started playing - some friends liked the free to play mechanics and I decided to join them in Beta. Liked it enough to subscribe and we are now a small presence on Sarlona.

Anyway, I have been playing around with a bard build and have been reading here for suggestions. However, I never see Bard Lyric of Incredible Song I/II mentioned. Good, bad or ugly (and why please)?

they're alright, I prefer not to spend to much ap into healing crits, I take the first rank and stop, the problem is you can't depend on healing crits, and you need to depend on healing.

lyric of incredible song is a waste. Lyric of song isnt.

18% crits(with items such as reaver gloves or greensteel) is kinda sweet.. but wasting points into getting the multiplier up isn´t really worth it when your critting for 300- 400...

It's not mentioned because those make you overheal.

You don't know when you'll crit. Crits are nice when you're throwing mass heals. And, honestly, when you crit, you'll probably heal them completely. Incredible Song will make you overheal, more often than not.

The Crit chance is nice, but as others said, the problem with healing crits is that you can't depend on them happening. I'll take 1 or 2 levels if I have the AP, or need to open something, but they aren't something that will really affect a build one way or the other.

You make a good point Freeman. Is this enhancement a part of unlocking Spellsinger? I can't remember without looking it up. But in any case, test it out. See what works.

I personally feel that a chance to crit is better then the multiplier of a crit. But we can leave that to the # crunchers on the forums. There are some good resources on the forums in the form of players. Hopefully they can give better insight on a good match fo the perfect heal/sp ratios for a bard.

My thoughts......I would increase the % of your healing spell powers. If you find that you need a little more Zing, take the first or second lvl of Incredible Song.

I have found that as a bard, there is plenty of enhancements to fill up all your points on. Take a look at everything you can do with your bard, and if you have extra points in the end, I say go ahead and pop a few into the choice you mentioned. Good luck, and remember, if it doesn't work out, change it every 3 days till you find what works best for you.
