This mod has been delayed so long at least two the Devs have found the time to reproduce within the span of the delay. That's impressive.

They set finalized, set-in-stone, "This will happen barring the destruction of Earth by a galactic scale cataclysm" dates that everyone relies on.
They need to do what we do in Construction:
"It'll be done around this day, give or take a month or two, and only if things go well. Otherwise, just wait for word and we'll let you know."
Works great for me. Someone wants to plan by our schedule? I use the Mr Scott method: "Okay, give us 8 months"... 6 months later "We're done ma'am, move the office stuff in when you're ready!" -- works great
