    Default PA Question

    Please don't flame me.

Ok, with that being said, I was on another thread reading about the must have feats for a melee based toon and, with the exception of Aranticus' math, it was not very helpful. I was really looking for some great advice and didn't get it.

Here's the problem that I am facing - I am missing on my 32-pt. build barbarian.

    His starting stats where:
    STR - 18, DEX - 12, CON - 16, INT - 8, WIS - 10, and CHA - 8.

I have taken these feats - THF, PA, Cleave, IC:Slashing, and Toughness. I had Stunning Blow but found that most mobs were dropping so fast in a good group that I just wasn't using it.

    I use a +5 G-Axe, +5 G-Sward, and a Maul for smashing skellies.

My problem - I have trouble hitting with PA on when I get in a little over my head. For example, I was running GH quests as a level 9 and on anyting but the bugbears and hobgoblins....whiff. So, I turned PA off. I don't know how to fit Spring Attack in on this build but I think that might be the solution but, I was also thinking that it is just that I was a level 9/10 running level 14 quests.

What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. If you have time, do you have any suggestions for optimal gear? I am just now getting this guy raid ready and that advice would also come in handy.

You prolly want to be using PA only when you are raged up. And if you are missing a lot while raged up then you definately need more strength.

Just throwing in my two cents even though it's only worth a penny.

    what is your strength raged?

more than likely the problem is simply that you are questing way above your level.

you can try equipping and item to improve your to hit, heavy handed armbands or one of the korthos sets and see if that makes a difference.

or find a buff ***** to cast GH

I'll have to go back in game to find my strength while raging with all of my rage enhancements added. I think at level 10, I am walking around with a strength of 25+7. I only have a +4 strength item, one feat, and.......can't remember. I will find it. I have 3 ranks of power rage if that helps. I also need to buy some bull's strength pots.

yeap you are 5 levels below the quest you are going to face problems hitting them. check out how much you are missing by

if you only hit greater than a 5 on your first attack, keep PA on. if you hit only on a 10, ditch PA
If you want to know why...
