Default What feat are you taking at 18 on your monk?

I don't know what to take on mine. I have a halfling pure monk with the following feats:

    twf
    itwf
    gtwf
    stunning fist
    weapon finesse
    power attack
    ic bludge
    dodge
    toughness

I do not have the int for combat expertise so that is out.

Cleave? How good is it on a monk? And do I really want another button to push?

Weapon focus bludge? I really don't have a problem hitting anything.

Great fortitude? Since I am a crane monk that would give me a couple fort points back. Seems like a waste though.

Another toughness? That kind of seems like a waste as well.

I wish two weapon defense worked with fists. I'd probably take that.

So what are you guys doing?

Most likely Great Cleave. I have a STR/Fire/Light monk, and cleave is very fun to use with a staff.....would be nice to be able to do it twice very quickly

I have the exact same feats as the op.

Improved crit bludgeoning doesn't do a lot for me really, only useful with smiters for those constructs you can't stun. Once you stun something its autocrit anyway so this feat is sort of defunct.

I am considering dropping ic bludgeoning and dodge to take the 3 halfling dragonmarks with the new dragonmark sets and dragonheir pre coming it might be something I can use whilst waiting in the monk pre's.

I don't really need the marks for myself (healing ki with 50% healing amp and a superior devotion 1 helm pops for 50-65hp a time, 40hp pots etc) but nice to have for in a group or shroud to keep that barb up.

    Still not sure though.

Yeah if I was halfling I might do the dragonmark thing myself also for the dragonmark pre

Unfortunately, cleave and great cleave are rather slow with two handed weapons. Still better than great cleave with unarmed attacks though... that animation is just dumb.

As an STR-based 15 Monk/1 Wizard Warforged I currently have:

    Two-Handed Fighting
    Improved Two-Handed Fighting
    Two-Weapon Fighting
    Improved Two-Weapon Fighting
    Toughness
    Combat Expertise
    Improved Trip
    Stunning Blow
    Power Attack

I'll be taking Greater Two-Weapon Fighting (and Greater Two-Handed Fighting if I take a level of fighter) as I could not obtain those at level 15 due to BAB issues.

Interesting idea. I had the marks on my monk for awhile, but dropped them because action points were getting tight, and already had ok self healing with healing ki.

Have to think about it. I wish they would lay out the dragon heir pre for us before launch. Swapping feats around is going to be a pain come next mod.

Probably just another toughness unless I can think of something groundbreaking before then. So far nothing is striking me in particular.
