    Default Stack question

Greetings, does anyone know if lightning stance, haste and Jorgundal's collar effects stack? Trying to sort out if I should try to make room for the Collar or not.

    Thanks!

So does the Collar give you the same effect as haste? If I understand correctly haste only enhances the melee buff for monks, while in wind stance.

I.E. would a monk with the Collar not need to worry about haste potions/buffs?

Collar does not stack with wind stance. I have tested it. Looks like they are the same bonus (competence).

The collar gives an enhancement bonus so it won't stack with the enhancement part of the stance:

Greater Wind Stance: +3 Dexterity, -2 Constitution, 12.5% Enhancement bonus to Attack Speed, 7.5% Insight bonus to Attack Speed
Wind stance is obtained at level 6 - and the collar is level 13 - so by the time you can wear your collar, you're already probably a Master of Storms (level 12), and your stance is better than the bonus you could gain by entering wind stance.

The only time the collar would be better is if you were unhasted, and only had Lesser Wind stance i.e. only 2 monk levels... but it would only be 2.5% better

As others have said, testing confirms this.

    Default Different direction

    Thanks to everyone that posted.

Another question regarding stacking: Would the +2 wis bonus from greensteel items stack to increase monk attacks like Q.Palm, S.Fist? Or does the greensteel item only affect items like balance, jump, etc?

Or maybe I should just ask, what will increase my chances of killing critters with Q.Palm? If I understand the information correctly, my monk is sitting around dc: 25

    Thanks!

I know it might be confusing, I did have a few new questions (see below or above) but didn't want to clutter the boards with yet another thread. If anyone has info or suggestions on the following, I'd appreciate it!

I am assuming you are speaking in regards to equipments and not weapons since you are mentioning Quivering Palm and Stunning Fist. yes the +6 wis for existential statemate will count replacing your previous +6 wis item. does not stack with existing +6 wis item. the exceptional SKILLS portions pertain to the skills. so if you did wisdom it would improve the skills that correspond with that ability. example, my monk has exception constistitution skills, giving bonus to concentration, which leads to a higher starting place for Ki upon resting. Wisdom would be heal and a few others not as important.

Guess I need to clarify my post better, in the future. No use getting the extra +2 wisdom exceptional bonus on a greensteel item then; thank you for the reply on this.

if you put the exceptional wisdom SKILLS bonus, no real benefit for the monk. if you were putting the exceptional WISDOM bonus on a weapon, then yes it would, but then again with weapon in hand you cannot do stunning fist or quivering palm. the exception would be, if greensteel handwraps were introduced, which they will not be. however, there is a possibility of getting it on the new rings in mod 9 which WOULD help raise DC on quivering palm and stunning fist.

in mod9 he could put wis+2 on a ring, and thus it works with wraps too
