I have to admit Thief Acrobat continues to confuse me too...the whole Quarterstaff thing is just at odds with all the Dex boosts...though an Unbalanced opponent is nice.
yeah with just kama/qs monks are still boned in that department.. and now the one hope for the monks only true high dps option is also boned... dont get me wrong monks can do some decent dps against trash but dr is the bane of monks... so now still cant bypass dr and to get the extra weapon effects that people get with green steel monks will have to pass up +2 to stats or other stuff.
So in the end.. monks are still boned.
its flavor, considering the mystic is supposed to be the casty/elemental PrE for monks. If you're looking for the bad*** damage monk set go take a gander at the shintao one.
considering all the common resist/immunities this set would have been much better served with a light damage bonus. same flavor as fire, and half the game wouldnt laugh at it.

Anyone think its odd that the acrobat item has a +6dex bonus even though the best other rogue item set in the game has a +6dex bonus?
Personally I'd rather see something else, like a str bonus... But I guess thematatically this makes sense.

Anyways...Fire damage?! I think that's what is so...sanity breaking...is that anyone would think that helps at all in the current content. I'll admit I haven't played the Beta...but does anything really not have at least 6 Fire Resistance at end game right now? It seems like such a mind-numbingly braindead out-of-touch decision...like the Monk strikes. Kinda good in theory, negated by innate Resistances in implemented content.

Congratulations on the Hard completion and the work you all put into it.
However, I certainly hope that they make it harder for the Live servers--those are some fast completion times. . .Im not saying Titan or Abbot when first released hard, but you know, something a bit more challenging.

it was fairly hard, the only thing that kept this raid from failing was the ability to buy mana pots from the store. i filed up my heal timers (on every spell, with quicken on) trying to keep blah alive at the end fight. that's 9 different heal spells with empoewr heal + maximize on
