DISCLAIMER: Before I go and start people thinking I am an "in-game" tool, let me just say.... I do not screw with people in-game when it comes to griefing a run or hindering a completion.. I just dont do that, at all.... NOOOOOWW, I have been known to tease a little but never purpously screw with a quest.... so keep that in mind.....


Now that Shaamis has challenged me to run on Khyber for a bit.. I want to know how long you guys think it will take before I am reported to The GM's for my mouth? The closest wins 10k pp on Thelanis or 5kpp on Khyber b/c I am broke there for the moment...

Keep in mind I do not intentionally try to get people to turn me in....

There aren't many people on Khyber lowly enough to report people. Reporting on Khyber is only done by a handful of people, and it's used more as a tool of revenge than a tool of cleanliness. It's very probable that you'll never be reported here.

...sooo i jump into Khyber what, on Monday? I build a toon and land on the beach.walk around and talk to shaami for a bit.. then have to leave to get my kids...

Tuesday... Thelanis kinda dead, and I m ontimer for most of my raids so i jump on Khyber and run the initial quest to ge tinto korthos.... once in korthos I run one of the village quests... Time in-game, about 45 minutes from shore to that point...

Lastnight... I log in and run a few more village quests so I gan flag for Mistery's peak explorer area. I decide to see if anyone from the forums is on... I look on the "Who" list and throw up a LFM saying " Khyber is being Merged into Thelanis on Sept 9 ~ Bartcom" thinking it would get laughs.....


WOW.......nope....... several tells later from people apparently not getting the joke.. I was even giving it away in my responses, DING! "Hi I am +xxx a Game Master for DDO, and I would appreciate it if you..............blah,yadda,bingo"..........

**** I had it up for what? 10 minutes? was in game like 90 minutes total? Across all the time I have spent on tThelanis, I have never been GM Dinged.....EVER.. and I have traded via LFM's, Teased people Via LFM's, and just plain played around on them...

but after only 90 minutes in game ,one LFM, and about 10 tells from various toons spanning an enitire gradient of responses..... I get called out........

Am sorry, first read I thought well I may be able to increase the prize... but then I refrain becuase it becomes more of an incentive - the reason for report would change to greed? - as offering 50-100k pp would be akin to putting a price on your head for some. Anyway... some people do have some fetish about LFM's here, typically they can start fueds.

I don't bother telling people to take them down, anymore. As soon as I see the LFM's go up, I complain about them, immediately. In fact, I suspect that I have more complaints than anyone else about the LFM's.
