    Default Add living items

Add living items that level up. This will add another grind to keep people addicted to the game.

    ML 20 to equip
Must equip for the item for it to gain xp
Level 1-20 same xp as players.
Each level adds the ability to consume 1 more item.
A level 20 item will have 5 properties.
You may not poses another living item until your current item has capped <exclusive>.

Select what your item gains by feeding 4 other items that have the desired property to it. For example you want your living item to have greater fire resist so you feed your item 4 Greater fire resist cloaks. The device will only take the similar property so you can use a Charismatic cloak of Greater fire and it will still work.

Just add your living item and 4 cloaks with Greater fire resist into the eldrich device and bam your item now has Greater fire resist on it.

An interesting idea, and one that seems similar to the idea of epic items that gain power as you do so that when you reach epic level they are also of epic level.

    Lilarcor

This greatsword is appropriate for paragon level characters.

Its backstory refers to an exceptionally stupid man named Lawrence Lilarcor who once fought an "epic" battle against a tree he thought to be an evil treant; it is said to be suspected, but not confirmed, that his spirit has been transferred into the sword.

Lilarcor is a +3 vicious greatsword with the following properties and powers.

Enhancement: Attack rolls and damage rolls.
    Critical: +3d12
Power (Daily): Minor Action. Your next melee attack this round will count as a critical hit if it hits a target that is bloodied.
Power (Encounter Martial, weapon): Standard Action. You can use Come and Get It (fighter 7).
Power (Encounter Martial): Minor Action. You can use Into the Fray (fighter 10).

    Goals of Lilarcor:

“I don't know what you were expecting, but as a sword I'm pretty one-dimensional in what I want.”

“Murder, death, kill! Murder death kill! Mwuhuhahahaha!”

“I got it. Oh, I knew I'd come up with something... I'm so sharp. Kill everything! Carnage! Slaughter! Carve your way outta here and I'm gonna sing your praises! Yeahaaah!!”

    Roleplaying Lilarcor:

Make sure to play up its wisecracking comments and its insatiable thirst for blood. Be annoying. No really, even more annoying.

    Concordance
    Starting score 5
    Owner gains a level +1d10
Owner kills a creature when diplomacy was at hand +2
Owner goes 24 hours without killing something -2
    Owner flees from combat -2
Owner spends 8 hours in the presence of someone of higher level with greatsword proficiency -1 (maximum 1/day)

    Pleased (16-20)
“I am invincible! Invincible, I say!”
The wielder and Lilarcor are in perfect harmony. Together, they will forge a new legend atop a pile of bodies!

The sword’s enhancement bonus increases to +4.
    Critical: +4d12

Property: When you drop an enemy to 0 hit points or fewer with a melee attack made with this weapon, gain 10 temporary hit points.

Special: The sword will occasionally speak up when it senses that enemies are near. Finally some useful advice.

    Satisfied (12-15)
“Yeah! Hit it! Hit it again!”
The wielder has proven to be worthy of Lilarcor, and the two start working together.

Power (Daily): Minor Action. Gain a +2 power bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls with this weapon and take a -5 penalty to all defenses. You also gain resist 5 to all damage. The effect lasts until the end of the encounter or until you fall unconscious.

    Normal (5-11)
“Why don't we kill, er... that over there?”
Lilarcor not so subtly hints that maybe the new wielder should start killing.

    Unsatisfied (1-4)
“Choke up, dolt, your grip is all wrong!”
The wielder is obviously not killing enough. Lilarcor makes wisecracks constantly, especially at very inopportune times.

Special: You take a -2 penalty to all non-combat skill checks. During diplomacy, it will constantly shout out for blood, if you sneak it will try to get the monster’s attention, etc. This may also affect your party’s rolls too, depending on the situation.

    Angered (0 or lower)
    “Boring. Boring. BORIIING!!!”
Lilarcor is bored out of its mind. It will continuously harass the wielder, and call out to other Martial types to take ownership of it.

Special: You take a -5 penalty to all non-combat skill checks. During diplomacy, it will constantly shout out for blood, if you sneak it will try to get the monster’s attention, etc. This may also affect your party’s rolls too, depending on the situation.

    Moving On
“Ooh, I agree with the Rashemaar. Give me to him, willya? C'mon, what a pair we'd make! Oh, me the brains with the edge, him the brawn with the hamster! A legend in the making...”
Lilarcor is always looking for the most bloodthirsty experienced fighter to stab him into enemies. Eventually he’ll tire of his current owner and look elsewhere. The sword’s sentience disappears and travels into a new sword, and the owner is left with a regular +3 vicious greatsword. +4 if the sword was pleased.
