Default hafling warchanter healer/cc - need help

    Hey guys,

Once DDO goes F2P I'm expecting/hoping that they will allow me to purchase/use 32 point builds so i wont have to always be ****ed off with any character i make that's not a drow.

I'm a long time player however have trouble getting to the top lvl area's because i tend to reroll my characters a lot.

Since the Hafling companion boost is going from 20sec up to 1 min duration and gives +5 to damage, and saves, +4to hit, and +3to ac I am wanting to make a bard that can take advantage of the buff so he can truly be the best buffer ever. In order to be the best possible buffer I feel I have to go warchanter so i know i have to spend at least 2 feats for that. I know most people would say its not smart to try to do both melee/casting with a bard because your spreading yourself thin, however what im wondering is it a feasible idea for me to play a bard that can effectively be a decent/good healer/cc character while running with the warchanter set up.

Im thinking stats would be either 14 10 14 8 8 18 _OR_ 14 16 14 8 8 16 _OR_ 12 14 14 8 8 18. The first option gives me more sp and a higher die check, while the second option would give me the option of picking up some TWF feats if i so choose to change styles. The third option would require me to find a str tome for power attack and i would have the option of getting a dex tome for TWF if i felt i can spend a feat on it.I think I would put level ups into CHA for either layout to keep my spell dc's as powerful as possible.

I think the problem im coming to next though is what other feats would be best for a healer/cc'er. weapon focus/power attack then Extend, Heighten, spell penetration, and maximize??? maybe drop extend for imp spell penetration or spell focus enchantment once i hit ~lvl12-13?

Im not trying to be much of a melee character except for early on and during rare times when my healing/cc is not needed, this character would preferably provide a primary healer/cc/buffer role.

Thanks for any input anyone has on this idea, if any one has tried this before and believes it is extremely difficult to get my cc/healing abilities up to par please let me know.

healer/warchanter shouldnt be too much of a problem. Get a 39+ UMD, at least 3 tiers of song magic, a couple tiers of scroll master, empowered healing, and you have heals covered.

The hard part is being a decent caster as well as a warchanter/healer. For casting, you need both spell pen feats, and should have heighten and enchantment focus feats. That doesnt leave much room for warchanting, especially if you want to go 2 weapons.

Just build your character exactly like a spellsinger except make sure your strength is a 12 or higher and obviously take the two warchanter feats. You'll be 100 mana and 2 feats shy of a pure healer bard, but you'll still be able to manage.
