    Default Muckbane Sans Bane

Hopefully this is the best place to pose this question. After returning to DDO after some time, two toons of mine have Muckbane with no bane. The description still says "Ooze Bane...etc." but it does not roll the extra 1d6 of damage, nor is there the visual effect. All of the other properties exist (unbreakable...etc.) however.

I've done some research and it appears as though something happened in the past. I've opened a few in-game tickets, but was told that it was not a know issue and there was nothing to do about it. Does anyone have any sugesstions? Thanks in advance for all of your help.

This was a known bug way back with missing enchantments, most notably muckbanes as you described, but it's been probably at least a year since I'd heard of it.

Try placing it in the stone of change (altar by the marketplace bank) and combining it by itself. This might restore it's bane effect.

If that doesnt work, a GM should be able to help you. I see that you stated ingame help wasn't much help. I'm certain they were replaced by GMs in the past so I'm not sure why they would refuse to do so nowadays.

Finally, your best bet might just be to run the quest and get a new one. They're pretty common. Or if you are on Sarlona I can mail you one tonight just let me know who to send it to.

Seconded. A GM replaced mine...geez, a long time ago...but that's how it was fixed in the past.

Common? I had to run that stupid quest 25 times (6 Mucks, all on hard) before I got one for my newb cleric. Nearly everyone I complained to about it reported similar problems getting one recently. I'm pretty sure Muck and/or Muckbane are a lot more rare than they used to be.

I pulled two in 4 runs on normal last week. That's just how random loot works some get luck some don't.
there's one thing you never put in a trap if you're smart. If you value your continued existence. If you have any plans on seeing tomorrow then there's one thing you never, ever put in a trap.

They are no more rare than ever. Best to run the quest with a full group if you can.

Odds are since this is a very old problem the current GMs in India don't know the history of this old bug. Point out its an old known issue and an old WDA post in the forums told people to contact GMs for replacement. Good luck

That's not true. Muck used to have a 100% spawn rate, and he was nerfed to not be after awhile.

    Thumbs up Thank You Everyone!

Thank you all so much for all of the advice. Luckily I was able to pull a brand spankin' new one the other night (only after about 30 tries and 5 Muck spawns). Before this:
-I tried a few more tickets in game, but got the same response each time
-I tried the Stone of Change with no luck...perhaps I was doing it wrong

But I finally got one and won't worry too much about the broken ones (I actually have 2 of them) as I can still use them against oozes and they won't break. Thanks again for the help!
