    Thumbs down Unpalatable Hobbit Monk

    Unpalatable Hobbit Monk
    32 point build
+1 or better Int tome required before level 6

    Str 12 (6)
    Dex 17 (8)
    Con 12 (4)
    Int 12 (4) <--- need a tome before 6
Wis 16 (10) <--- level ups; US, SB, QP goodness
    Cha 8 (0)

    Feats
    1 Stunning Fist
    1 Two Weapon Fighting
    2 Weapon Finesse
    3 Dodge
    3 Harmonious Balance
    6 Toughness
    6 Combat Expertise
    9 Improved Two Weapon Fighting
    12 Improved Critical: Blunt
    15 Greater Two Weapon Fighting

    Skills
    Max out Concentration and Balance
    1 point into Tumble
Enough points into Jump so a +30 buff caps the skill
Season to taste (I'm a big dummy and did Spot and Swim)

    Action Points
Hobbit Dex 1 or 2, whichever makes it even
Hobbit Cunning 3-4, silly, but needed for
    Hobbit Guile 3-4, yay damage
Hobbit Lucks 1 or 2, however many you need as filler
Clever Monkey 4, 8 stacking elemental resist is better than it sounds
    Fists of Light, bread
    Unbalancing Strike, butter
    Master of Thunder, speedy attacks
Adept of Rain, prereq for Unbalancing, casters who notice it love AtH in shroud/vod
Disciple of Pebbles, good strike to weave in, stun immunity doesn't work right though
Disciple of Candles, for Walk of the Sun
Hobbit Toughness 2, it's got electrolytes
Monk Concentration 0 to 2, however many you need as filler
Monk Wisdom 2 or 3, whichever makes it even

My current level 16 unbuffed wind stance AC breakdown:

10 base, +10 (30 dex), +10 (30 wis), +7 (bracers), +5 (deflection cloak; yeah yeah, I know it's only 1 more than on icy, but 1 is 1), +5 (icy raiments with ritual), +1 (Dodge feat), +4 (Monk), +1 (Hobbit), +5 (Combat Expertise)
= 58 AC; toss in +3 for a barkskin potion and +4 for a shield click for a somewhat respectable 65 AC self buffed without any AC raid gear

    -23 July 2009 Edit-

My current level 16 unbuffed water stance resists breakdown:

    Fortitude: 10 base, +5 (21 con), +1 (hobbit), +2 (hobbit fortitude 2), +2 (head), +4 (resist cloak), +3 (water stance), +1 (alchemical ritual)
    Reflex: 10 base, +8 (27 dex), +1 (hobbit), +1 (hobbit reflex 1), +2 (head), +4 (resist cloak), +3 (water stance), +1 (alchemical ritual)
    Will: 10 base, +11 (32 wis), +1 (hobbit), +1 (hobbit will 1), +2 (head), +4 (resist cloak), +3 (water stance), +1 (alchemical ritual)
= 28F/30R/33W; toss in +4 for a greater heroism click and +2 for a walk of the sun for a total of 34F/36R/39W self buffed (+4 save vs traps from way of the monkey)

My current level 16 unbuffed air stance (what I'm usually in) stats breakdown:

    Str: 18 (12 base, +6 item)
    Dex: 30 (17 base, +2 tome, +2 hobbit enhancement, +6 item, +3 air stance)
    Con: 19 (12 base, +3 tome, +6 item, -2 air stance)
    Int: 14 (12 base, +2 tome)
    Wis: 30 (16 base, +4 4/8/12/16, +2 tome, +2 monk enhancement, +6 item)
    Cha: 8 (8 base)

Level 16 gear loadout before I began collecting raid gear:

Hat: Minos Legens; all the cool kids are doing it
Neck: +6 Health Necklace of Remove Fear x3; alternately, Silver Flame Talisman
Goggles: Goggles of Insight; yay Korthos

Trinket: Bloodstone; alternately, Voice of the Master or Dusk Heart
Chest: Icy Raiment (with ritual); the trick is to get it your first GoP run
Cloak: Cloak of Protection +5; alternately, Cloak of Resistance +4
    Bracer: Armored Bracers +7; trading +8 drow/elf bracer for +8 hobbit :b
Belt: +6 Ogre Power Belt of Lesser False Life; Are you there Titan? It's me, IS
Left Ring: +6 Wise Ring of Owl's Wisdom x1; because that's the +6 wis ring I found
Right Ring: 30% Striding Ring of Balance +3; alternately, Reaver's Ring or one of five Ring of Greater <element> Resistance
Boots: +6 Dexterous Boots of Springing +3; alternately, Feather Falling Boots of Solid Fog x5
Gloves: Backstabber's Gloves; being stabbed by my hobbity fists hurts

My current level 16 gear loadout after raiding for a few months:

Hat: Minos Legens; it really is pretty nifty, go farm one up when you approach 11
Neck: +6 Health Necklace of Remove Fear x3; alternately, Silver Flame Talisman
Goggles: Tharne's Goggles (with ritual); thank you for letting me tag along on VoD runs!
Trinket: Bloodstone; alternately, Head of Good Fortune
Chest: Icy Raiment (with ritual); you get 14ish tries per week, it's worth it
Cloak: Cloak of Protection +5; alternately, Cloak of Resistance +4
Bracer: Armored Bracers +7; hopefully, +8s (and better?) drop like rain in mod9
Belt: +2 Ogre Power Belt of Greater False Life; because hit points are good
Left Ring: Tumbleweed; crying all the time
Right Ring: +6 Ogre Power Ring of Lesser False Life; alternately, Reaver's Ring or one of five Ring of Greater <element> Resistance
Boots: 30% Striding Boots of Springing +3; alternately, Feather Falling Boots of Solid Fog x5, Madstone Boots, or Kundarak Delving Boots
Gloves: Supreme Tyrant Green Steel Weave Gloves of Concordant Opposition; +1 str skills, +5 con skills, +45 hps, +6 wis, +10 diplomacy, +10 haggle, 30 temp hps sometimes granted when getting smacked

    Potential future upgrades?
Cloak of Resistance +5; where are the combo resist/deflection cloaks like in nwn?
Armored Bracers +8 (or more); because sometimes the paladin only has +4 ac aura
Belt of Brute Strength; frees up a ring slot for...
Chattering Ring; I'm sick and tired of it being so quiet in here anyhow
    oodles of Tomes

    -31 July 2009 Edit-

+16 in water or fire stance, +32 in earth stance

2x +4 Wounding Kama of Deception, high hps and vorpal immune
2x +2 Vorpal Kama of Deception, high hps

+4 Paralyzing Handwraps, for uh...I don't use these much anymore either, hm
+3 True Law Handwraps of Smiting, ditto
    +4 Banishing Handwraps, ditto
+2 Thundering Handwraps of Greater Construct Bane, wish they were Holy
+2 Holy Handwraps of Greater Reptilian Bane, for Enter the Kobold, mostly
+1 Holy Handwraps of Greater Evil Outsider Bane, for stealing orthon aggro in vod
    +5 Anarchic Handwraps, for Maruts

+4 Handwraps of Destruction, for painting the roses blue
+1 Strength Sapping Handwraps, just testing; effect doesn't seem to last long

Since there are no hobbits in DDO, you will have a hard time creating this character

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

i've been very happy to have Gram in parties with me.

anyone that can solo ETK elite, and out vorpal the rest of the group without needing much for heals in shroud is fine with me.

    survivable - check
    good hp - check
    dps - small check

please post your beholder and buffed saves and your end game stats (and how you got there from your starting stats)

    thanks again Inedible!
