Are my handwraps broke?

I was playing with my banishing handwraps and Enlightened Vestments. I was noticing my vestments would banish an elemental but not the handwraps despite have the same ability. Are my handwraps broke or an I reading the abilities wrong on my equipment?

Try just running around with the wraps but not the vestments. Your foes get double save with both equipped so maybe they just saved wraps and failed on vestments. Or it could be that the banishment from vestments apply first and since they failed it, your wraps didn't even get a roll, hence should try the wraps alone.

I tried that but it didn't work. My handwraps with banish a devil but not elementals.

Banishing: Any extraplanar creature with 25 Hit Dice or fewer that is critical hit by the weapon must succeed on a DC 24 Will save or be banished back to its home plane.

Banishing Fists: This potent ability will in certain cases return extraplanar creatures to there home plane.. Upon a natural 20 on an attack roll, which is a confirmed critical hit, any extraplanar creature with 25 Hit Dice of fewer that is critical hit hit by the weapon must succeed on a DC 24 Will save or be banished back to its home plane.

According the the definitions they should work on the same creatures.

It would appear that Banishing Fists has an inaccurate description on the maximum Hit Dice that it can banish. Most elementals you meat in the later levels have over 24 Hit Dices, so neither form of weapon-based banishing should work as per the descriptions.

Probably what MrCow said, did you get a big fat immune pop up on those elementals with the wraps only? If so, and the vestments worked, then description is wrong on the cloth.

I notice the difference while doing favor runs so the elementals where not so big, but I did not got and immune in the damage. I went back with just the handwraps and still nothing, but they would work on a devil in the vale.

I'm not 100% positive but I don't think the elementals are being considered extra-planer

Most likely yes, the vestments arer better than what they look. Generally banishing weapons don't really work on high level elementals due to the HD limit, as most of them surprass that by far, but apparently the cloth still works. Good to know tough, otherwise it would be inferior to regular banisher wraps.
